Fake clothing

Ebay?

isn't it illegal to sell fake stuff?

Get a flight over to thailand and buy yourself a suitcase, fill it full of fake kids clothes
You'll get plenty of bang for your buck there.

Maybe it's time you discussed the facts of life and that sadly you cannot afford £500 purses and £200 sweaters. Pretending you can is shallow, uneccessary and will only attract sneers from those that know what you are playing at.

Be careful what you do - it could get to a point where copies aren't good enough any longer and she craves the real thing.

I used to work in a bank and one girl was actually buying the genuine Chanel, Gucci, LV etc. clothes and accessories from Europe. She was spending so much it was worth her while to fly to, say, Paris and stay over as the Euro was a lot stronger than it is now and the savings were high.

Sadly it doesn't take long for a family with a total income of less than £20k a year to get into more debt than it can afford with someone buying £1,500 luggage sets, £500 jackets and £100 blouses. She and her husband were eventually declared bankrupt with credit card and loan debts of over £25k plus the mortgage. Her husband was the sort of man who left everything to his wife to sort out and had no idea about the debt that was building up and that he was about to lose the home he worked so hard to pay for.
He divorced her soon after.

At least she had some nice bags to shift her stuff back to her Mums in.

How old is your daughter?
Buying fakes is a bad idea because it funds criminals and the quality is poor, plus if her mates find out then she could get bullied.
Perhaps a sit down to explain that true values in life don't mean paying over the odds because it has a name on it.
The world is in crap because we value named brands over any real quality or necessity

Don't think he's looking to buy his daugher 20 L&B?

Probably not but i though i would share it as a warning to others who might think its a good idea to buy fags down the local market.
smoking one of these below (my granddads favourites) would do far less harm than smoking one of the ones i mentioned earlier, and you should have seen the dockers oysters my granddad used to cough up in a morning.

Yes it was minging

As others have said try to avoid buying fake, you'll pay well over the odds for something that'll be no better than a £5 primark bag but unlike the primark bag it'll not last the winter.

There are plenty of fakes on eBay but also some bargains IF you know what you are looking for (you can get the real thing for around the same price as the latest fake). If it is LV you are after Mrs MB is a bit of a nut so feel free to PM me an idea of what you're looking for an I'll get her to give some pointers and maybe link a few genuine items as well as fake so you can spot the difference.

Can't argue with any of this.

I can't understand people who try to pass fakes off as real. Products like Rolex watches and Luis Vuitton bags are status symbols; why would you want people to think you can afford such things if you actually can't? It will only possibly result in an escalation of one-upmanship that will end up with you getting found out. I can't afford a Rolex, so I haven't got one. It's not really a difficult concept to understand.
