The only reason why some people is Criticizing him is because he is not a bag name. He is not a Messi or A David Villa, in my personal appenion is Falcao even bether than Dzeko. Dzeko was good in the bundesliga but i doubt he can be a top goalscorer in pl already in this season !!!! So if you ask me sell Adebayor and keep Tevez, Balo and then buy Falcao and Dzeko can stay os get sold.

Sorry, your correct in that Porto were his boyhood team; what I should have said is that he went to Italy, leaving his adopted team of Benfica, had a couple of years in Italy where he played very well, then went back to his adopted team of Benfica where he spent most of his career.

This is where stats fail us at times, and actually watching football helps. Gomes did well at Fiorentina; he had a bit of a tough start because he was in a brand new league and was bought to replace the legend of Batistuta in a club that was going bankrupt. That Fiorentina team was falling apart at the time; they were constantly losing games, having to play youth players, sacked their manager (the guy who bought Gomes), had fan revolts and boardroom members playing games in the press. He still managed to build a reputation due to his performances; ask any Italian journo or people who follow Italian football religiously, he's very highly thought of still because of those performances. This is despite his club not actually paying him at the time.

Trying to talk about Nuno Gomes' goal record is about as useful as trying to talk about David Silva's goal record. He wasn't a goalpoacher; he was the link up man. He did score consistently, but this wasn't his game at Fiorentina, Chiesa was there to bang them in whilst Gomes was there to link between him and Rui Costa.

He won over a 100 caps for his country, scored in World Cups, Euro Championships and the like of. He's a legend in Portugal and around the world. There's a reason for this.

I think once Dzeko has settled and had a pre season he will fit in just fine and start scoring but I'm sorry upto now he's been fucking awful. His touch, finishing, arial ability has all been shocking.

Falcao is scoring for fun and showing some real class. I'm not suggesting he would hit 30 prem goals a season but for Balkanno just to laugh when someone says he's better than dzeko is a joke.

I am not going to lie but from the goals I have seen they have been really easy goals he has scored nothing special or technical about them. I think he has a good midfield to help him out.

I think in the EPL he will get kocked aroundbig time but the rough defenders and it may knock his confidence quite a bit much like it has for Dzeko.

Utter rubbish. Dzeko hasn't been a regular starter but has still scored 5 goals and had at least 2 assists from memory. Plus if it wasn't for one of those goals we wouldn't have even got an FA Cup semi-final let alone won the thing! Yes he's struggled with his touch and the pace of the Prem but "nothing short of dogshit" shows what you know when it comes to football, "nothing short of dogshit" all!
