False 9

Gabriel Jesus will be your false 9. Rest assured of it. He does it marvelously in Palmeiras. He is the striker and reference on speed plays, he attack by the wings when necessary and also comes back to cover for the left winger. By doing that he became the top scorer in the BR league (incidentally, he is tied with robinho, ex man city, with 10 goals), I think that is what Guardiola has seen and want from him.

You probably already know this but were playing an attacking five currently with a central striker, two wingers and two creative midfielders sitting in the space just behind.

Arguably Aguero, positionally, is the least flexible of the five. So knowing Pep, Gabriels positions will be interchange between the two wide positions and he may only get a shot centrally in the event of injury to Aguero although we have a very talented youngster in Iheanacho vying for that position also.

Make sure you keep posting and updated on how Gabriel Jesus is getting along. Is Robinho as lazy as ever?

Robinho is the same but it seems that this season, maybe because it is one ofhis few last, he decided to take footaball seriously. He is fit thin and fit, doing very good games for atletico mineiro (with gremio and flamengo, the three real contenders to palmeiras title).

Regarding Gabriel, you are right, he will only get a shot centrally in the event of a injury or any other reason that keeps aguero from playing. But... that's how all stories begin, right, a first chance? Thats my humble opinion, of course but Gabriel is better than aguero. You are talking another level of football player here. You guys hit the jackpot and will be really astonished when you see him playing at Etihad.

Ill be posting here from time to time trying to update you guys on his development.

Cheers

Its a real shame about Robinho with all that talent he never fully concentrated on his career. It seemed, during that period of time, there were quite a few talented Brazilians who never fully took the game seriously and probably leads many to question their work ethic which is naturally unfair.

You paint a wonderful picture of Gabriel and to state he is better than Aguero is quite a statement. Ots can be a pretty depressing place Manchester after Christmas so I hope it is not too much of a shock for him.

Potentially you mean?

OF course. Aguero has done lots to football already. Gabriel is giving his first step on international pro football in 3h and a half. But he is simply the best player this country has produced since neymar and, lots of people here thinks, including me, that he will be better than neymar, on a ronaldinho fenomeno level.

I personally hope he helps palmeiras get the BR title and fullfil his potential at Etihad, under Pep, a coach that, on my opinion, was born and raised to coach young talented players such as jesus and other young promises city has signed this season, he will rise!.

With the current style of allocating squad numbers, I'm looking forward to the debate in 20 years time about a false 47
