Famous people at your school

One of my classmates was Martin Sixsmith, who was portrayed by Steve Coogan in 'Philomena' which is on TV tonight. Very weird seeing someone you knew well being portrayed by someone else. Coogan did quite well but was a little too Mancunian.

From looking at lists here it certainly pays off to send your kids to Grammar schools.
I ain't having any until I've robbed a few banks so I can afford to send them to one.

I didn't, I was taught by a complete difference person in Mr Purvis whose (alleged, unsubstantiated, etc) dodgyness took him to Headmaster then was brushed under the carpet resulting in a sacking. Schoolboy rumours obviously, is probably nonce sense (spelling?).

I left without any qualifications because I couldn't be arsed at that point but the work ethic and standard of excellence they demanded has never left me despite many of the students being rich kid wankers.

Fred taught me. He was a great teacher, though left me feeling useless and inadequate as he didn't feel my leg.

Also you forgot Suggie on your "famous" list!... (famous by association with his sister Mollie Sugden)

You don't have to be famous to be successful, and neither guarantee happiness.

Completely right bud... Many people are successful in their own lives and are not famous.
Being famous is something that would make me unhappy (being recognised everywhere)

I'm just on about the standard of education received.
Would I of become an astronaut if I had went to my local grammar school? probably not... But I'm sure there's a better fighting chance there
for kids if they have a paid education.

Which is why I don't want my own children as of right now I couldn't provide for them what I feel I missed out on ( a decent education)
