Keith Fielding was my PE Teacher at Marple Hall.

He played both codes at international level, representing England in rugby union, from 1969-1972, before taking to the league pitch for Great Britain and Salford.

Fastest rugby player in the world at one point

Fielding also won the television sports challenge Superstars in 1981.

He was my class tutor thingy person for 3 years, did him at the 100m every time.
He married an English teacher at bramhall and lives close to my mum.

He left marple cause he was banging a student afaik haha.
A good man who taught me about respect.

He was all over the 6th form girls as often as he could and they lapped it up, we hated him for that ;-) I left in 1980 I doubt you would have lived with him in his day at the 100m, at one point all Salford had to do was pass him the ball and a try was guaranteed, he scored a world record 46 tries in one season in the early seventies. Liked him a lot, his side kick was Keith Mckinnes who was a coach at Widnes RLFC.
