My mum's mum was a child actress - appearing in many London shows and indeed travelling to America when aged 12 - 15.
My mum has a news clipping of her appearing in some show or other at the Palladium, 3rd on the bill, with Gracie Fields top of the bill.

In other cuttings, she is described as ''Little Annie Donahue from Chorlton-on-Medlock.....''
