'Fan' accounts slagging off our players.

Buvey or what ever is name is. Just unsubscribed to his channel. All he does is suck up to the scum and dipper fans for clicks. 19 of his last 20 videos are about them. Used to like him , but not now.
Same here, I subscribed to Bonnie Blue, not one mention of City from her.
I'll give it a year or two but if it doesn't improve by then I will (possibly) unsubscribe

:-)

Best mates with that foppy hair twat Rory Jennings and rag Adams McKola.

No way is he a proper City fan

Something to consider.

"The surge in bot activity is not just disrupting web traffic—it may also be inflating the internet economy by distorting the very metrics that drive tech company valuations. Automated bots now make up more than half of global internet traffic. Bots surpassed human-generated activity for the first time in 2024, according to Imperva, a subsidiary of cybersecurity giant Thales. Imperva, which issues a “Bad Bot report,” found that almost 50% of internet traffic comes from non-human sources, with 20% of that being so-called “bad bots,” prone to a host of malicious activities."

We need a positive fan base. It's a joke how many moaners we have on here. Grealish, Nunes, our wingers, Haaland not scoring enough apparently. Even heard Pep out because he had one season of not winning the lot.

Fans can't expect us to win treble after treble. A lot of us lot getting so greedy. Do you expect the players to perform if the fans aren't happy with anything less than 3 trophies? Ridiculous.

Yes, but it’s about time Pep won something.

I have no issue with people having an opinion if they are able to back it up with solid evidence, but I'm fucking fed up with seeing so-called City fan accounts on social media slagging our players off for for fuck all. It's weird, and cunty and I'm pretty sure some of them only do it for engagement which is why I rarely click on them, let alone interact.
Social media is rife with it.

It’s how a lot of the worldwide fans act because they have no connection to the city the club they’ve latched onto come from, have no real connection to the club and don’t understand what it is to be part of the real fanbase of that club… or they’re just WUMs who aren’t actually fans of the club they’re pretending to be and are actually fans of their rivals.

What’s even more annoying is our local fans acting like tossers like that fucking prick who came out of the Bernebeu after about 60 minutes calling Bernardo Silva a **** and saying Pep needs killing.

I agree but to be fair I think only a very small minority of our fan base are overly negative and most of them don’t attend matches. They have always existed. Some people revel in negativity. Constructive criticism is always welcome though. And our away following is fantastic, as good as any team in the PL,

I’m not overly arsed anymore. I don’t watch or listen to much these days - but I find it mental that after 10 years of success we still have virtually zero presence in any of the mainstream media of all formats.
Success has brought mainly negative press, but what gets me more than anything is the hate spreading to match officials. Plenty of examples here.

Fans are by definition positive. A problem is deep entrism by a rival who partly defined themselves in relation to Bert.

The definition of "Fan" has changed though.

Fans now can follow many clubs and follow one club more if they are successful.

The best fans only visit the stadium twice a year and spend a lot of money in the club shop.

Fans can't buy many burgers or hotdogs or pints because who is going to hold the selfie stick while they are eating?

Fans are not from Manchester and have no link to Manchester and reserve the right to fuck off and support someone else if they start winning things.

I agree with most of what you say, but to be fair, you don't need "evidence" to give an opinion. The definition of "opinion" is a view not based on fact.
I have followed City through thick and thin for 70+ years; I've walked home from matches delighted or disappointed, praising or moaning, lauding or criticizing, but never said or thought anything other than frustration. The level of opprobrium against some players is extreme, perhaps Bluemoon should have a "Bigots" thread for posters who will have no truck with any alternative opinion and can only respond with insults and intolerance.

And home following, fans leaving after 75 minutes when it's 1-1

I think 'facts' to back up an opinion is probably the wrong way to look at it in retrospect. Perhaps fans basing their opinions on utter nonsence is more appropriate?

Well said sir, match officials are fine upstanding members of the community. The honesty displayed by Clattenberg is admired across the globe, and Michael Oliver is an inspiration to partially sighted people everywhere, especially if they have difficulty making decisions. - Alty Taylor is simply misunderstood and Peter Walton never showed any bias whatsoever.

It is as true on social media as it is in politics. We are increasingly witnessing highly inflammatory, non-truth written and spoken word with the sole purpose of riling an audience into engagement, in either direction. It is a negative societal switch, IMO.

We had a guy stand by us in the Kippax who was a milkman. He'd leave with 5 or 10 minutes to go in most games, even if we we drawing. He'd always joke about hoping for a 'car park goal' where he'd hear the crowd roar as he got into the car park at Edwards St School.

I'll let him off though as he was probably starting his milk round at 4am on a Saturday morning and didn't want to spend 2 hours stuck in traffic trying to get home.
