Fan channels

Never watched any of these.
Wouldn’t even know where to find them.
This forum has more than enough information and differing opinions for me not to need or want to watch any other random person spouting their opinion, but each to their own.
I don’t watch much tele, unless it’s football or travel related, not bought a paper for possibly twenty years and there’s not one minute when I think I’m missing out.
I still have Twitter but don’t go on that regularly and hence I usually don’t have a clue what other posters on here are referring to.
I may be missing out on a whole new world of knowledge and information but I’m happy with my lot.
Good luck to the guys who film themselves talking about footy and making money, but it’s not for me and I’m comfortable with that.
Bring back Grandstand, World of Sport, The Big Match with a sprinkling of Kick Off and Saint and Greavsie and life would be back to being simple and good.

I would LOVE Grandstand back. I have no idea why it’s not. I still watch Final Score on a Sat afternoon. Reminds me of my Grandad who would sit doing his football pools at the end.

I don’t know why BBC don’t bring out a BBC Sport Channel. A channel just for sport. Grandstand. Ski Sunday. Racing. Footy. Athletics. Rugby. All of it. All day.

The BBC don’t have broadcast rights for major sports. Not everyone wants to watch cross country skiing and the boat race.

I’m not needy, and I certainly don’t need the attention. It’s a good job that I don’t because not many watch me! Ha ha

I started one at the start of the season and have kept it up - it’s just me taking into a camera for 20-40mins. I don’t do it for views or attention and I’ll never make money from it. It just hobby and a release as I have my own business and work from home 100% of the time

In terms of income - Presumably when channels get big enough they pay something but I’ve had a look and to make a good living you’ve got to be big then the opportunities come from collaborating with other fan groups(I’d rather jump off a bridge), gambling adds(if that ever game up, I’d never do them) etc and it’s a different world to what I(43) grew up in

What about horse racing from Kempton, the second half of a Rugby League game or professional wrestling from Bolton town hall?
 
Good luck to anyone grifting a living out of talking about football, particularly as they’re all armchair supporters and 90% of what they go on about is just tribalistic one upmanship.

Games the game though, saves them getting a proper job so fair play.

Very glad City doesn’t have anybody doing it with any level of notoriety or platform.

Proper embarrassing stuff.

Saint and Greavsie, jumpers for goalposts, marvellous, isn’t it?
Like to keep reasonably up to date but the fan accounts can do one.
Likewise no newspapers and only a very quick look at a few accounts on twitter a few times a week. Like you definitely don’t feel like I’m missing anything.

Whilst I do like your podcast anything with Sam Lee involved is an instant turn off as I can't stand the guy so it's a no from me

I do miss Blue Moon Rising TV it was great hearing fans’ reactions after matches. It might not have been on the same level as AFTV, but it was still really enjoyable to watch.
