Fan falls on train track..

Was at a packed Ashbury's station today after the game when a Fan (bloke in his 60s) fell on to the track ...
If it wasn't for the quick reaction of the blues on the station jumping down and carrying him across the tracks to safety whilst others flagged the on coming train to stop, could have been very serious accident..

Got to say the two rail workers stood chatting at the top of the bridge did a great job, letting the platform get so full and then doing fk all during the incident or immediately after the incident first aid wise..

The platform was packe so don't know if the guy was nudged on to the track or went down with the heat,
The rail workers should have been down on the platform moving people further down and back from the edge ..
When the guy was rescued by fans then they should have been ther doing something not what looked like filming the incident on there phone whilst the guy was on the track then at least giving 1st aid when he had been rescued and not casually walking down the steps then milling around..

There are cameras there and I hope the powers that be look and see the great job there workers did...

Hope the guy is ok,, seemed to sit up after the incident but then went down again..

Good to know ... First time iv got the train and ended up getting on the wrong train home,, hadent realised there was trains going in the Reddish directions as well as Hyde.. So the joy of missing the carnage on the trams and car park and hoping to be home for 5.45 a good hour earlier then usual, turned into dispar at finding myself at a train station I didn't know, not knowing which direction was home and no battery on my phone...

The fans who jumped down onto the track with the TransPennine Express train coming towards them and got the guy to safety were absolutely heroic. There have been problems at Ashburys for years, sadly it will probably take a serious incident for Network Rail to do something about it. Hope the guy is OK.

Was hoping someone on here might post something.

It was my dad who fell, he fainted we think, he's ok & being kept in hospital while they try & work out what caused it. He's more gutted cos he missed match of the day!

Seriously though, does anyone know who the Blues were who helped him? I had no idea there was a train heading for him, the police told my mum he was carried over the tracks by some people but didn't mention anything else.
