Fan of The Wire?

Thanks mate will give this a shot. Theres another French show called 'Spiral'...not as good as the wire but what is?

Best thing about the wire is the characters are so well formed you find yourself actually giving a fuck about them..who else hated/loved Ziggy in equal measure for eg? Theres loads of other characters you might want to be mates with (Bunk) or wish you were on the job with (Freeman)...not to mention the clever plotline...all signs of a classic for me...

Strange, for me it's the opposite, I've watched the Wire a few times, but I struggled to get through the box set of the Sopranos, only finishing it on the principle that I've started so I'll finish.
Towards the end of the Sopranos I simply couldn't have cared less what happened to the characters.
 
Finished it for the first time the other day, one of the best things I've ever seen. So many great characters, stories and excellent writing.

Watched 'The Wire' 5 times now, the only thing I wasn't keen on was 'the press/media' parts, mainly because I have little interest in that.
