Fan Forum Tip No 1

If you are shallow enough to embarrass yourself by going to a fan's forum solely in order to try to get a millionaire footballer to look at you and, in a 50/1 shot, possibly end up going out with you - do not turn up with a raving mad women.

I think it was her mum who was suggesting it to her.. very odd moment.. as well as the three psychos going all "downer" on us.. negative this negative that!

Couldnt believe the negativity towards Bobby Manc tonight.

Well done Fanzone for giving it back.

PS if Bobby plays the team he stated against Rags the downers better lie low when our midfirld is over run and the strikers get no service.

Some bizarre questions... we're fourth in the league most exciting time ever yet here's the jist of one of the questions:

"I've managed many amateur football teams, right footed wingers play on the right, you play to their strengths why do we play players out of position Roberto?"

I was with Danny and we had our heads in our hands.

Silva (with interpretor) spoke more sense than any footballer i've seen, a future politician.

Mancini, disregard what the papers say, the guy has instant whit and a great sense of humour. Milner turned up in his chav top and spoke well too.

Bit disappointed with the questions overall, must think of a few before the next one.

-- Thu Oct 28, 2010 9:17 pm --

- bobby manc said we would try to go for dzeko in January

he would or he WILL dont understand ??

We wanted him in July, we will probably try again in January.

Also, tolmie's theory was blown well out of the water tonight... plenty of good looking female City fans.

The correct response being "that's why you've only managed amateur teams..."

Where do these clowns come from?

okeyyyy thanks mate

I agree that some of the questioning was poor.

The bloke is in a foreign country and in the early stages of doing a very good job. I think people can forget how questions can come across - especially to someone who is speaking a second language.

Although, saying that, regardless, it was poor form - and showing a lot of ignorance - for people to be moaning about tactics. It isn't as if the current tactics are not a) successful or b) in a developmental stage.

Very poor show from some blues and a bit embarrassing.

I have to say, Mancini took it all in his stride though and I think he realised that those questions are not representative of general opinion. Those particular questioners didn't exactly present themselves as learned experts or great thinkers either, so I doubt he'll be losing sleep

Let me try to remember other things.

I remember Mancini saying City were interested in Dzeko in July but then i didn't catch the last part of his response, so not sure if he confirmed we were still interested. I'm sure he didn't but i don't want to rally against the previous blue.

Milner is a lucky lad, i'd dabble with that lovely lady under offer, most DEFINITELY.

That woman wanting the MCFC sign that turned out to be if we are getting an MCFC channel wasn't very clear, but we shouldnt take the piss as you get different city fans at these things. As long as they love the club, that is good enough for me.

The guy who wasn't happy with one up front was disgusted outside after Mancini ruled out the league, asking the fans if we would prefer Champions League qualification or winning the F.A. Cup. I think Mancini is being a realist, the other guy must want the best where there is an element to understand in that with the outlay, but im a patient guy and he must remember how far we have come in 10 years. How far have Southampton and Leeds come in 10 years? Not the greatest comparison, but you get my point. I still think Chelsea are 12+ points better than us a season, and admire Mancini's honesty in his answer. He said Chelsea were the best team in the league 2 months ago, and is sticking with it, which is an opinion i agree with and stated at the start of the season.

On the point on asking the fans for Champs League qualification or winning the F.A. Cup , i don't think Mancini knows or has been issued with what his priorities are in terms of aims. It was a 50-50 split when he asked the fans for qualification or the F.A. Cup. I think he wanted to involves the fans and that the board may have not been as stringent with targets as they were with Hughes. He wanted to know, if there was a bias in the vote, when to play his strongest side as he cannot play it all the time in all competitions.

The F.A. Cup would be a great testament to losing Big Malc, so that is why i voted for that answer. But the realistic and sensible answer i would say is qualifying for the Champs League with the FFP rules coming in.

You were obviously sitting behind her then and her Mother who was rambling incoherently about an mcfc channel was bladdered and a bloody nuisance.

Correct. One look at the girl's mother should tell you to steer well away.
