Fans Forum Updates Here

What's the point of a fans forum, if people aren't allowed to ask the questions they want?

Like the questions or not it's lucky there was some non-Bluemooner's there or that would be the shittest Q + A ever. It's good people have seen that even though we're doing great, certain subjects can still be questioned. You'll hear it all the time if you get to a game.

So much wrong there.

Did you go to the forum? I go to the games and its different someone saying something in the heat of the moment than asking for AJ to be playing 'in position' (out of position)

I suppose you know everyone on here too, we're all happy clappers aren't we.

I just hope we are not at a stage where people seem to think tough questions shouldn't be asked because 'we should be grateful for what we've got'.

That's not a state of affairs I think we should ever accept.

There will always be reasons for genuine debate/criticism no matter how many trophies we have won or how well liked the management team are at the time.

Fucking hell. Talk about a communist state. Some of you need to get a real honest grip of yourselves and lives. What do you want a fans forum to be? An hours wiping the managers arse session? So what if people ask what are perceived by the self deceived majority 'negative' questions. Worse than a pantomime constructed question time audience. I went to the last forum, and got bored after about 2 minutes, when the questions were basically shit thrown together by 7 year olds. A forum is an opportunity for ANYONE to ask ANYTHING. Anything opposite is not a democratic forum, no matter how wet some of your pants grow with embarassment, thinking, Mancini is going to interpret us as bad fans, ungrateful of whatever else it is keeping you awake at night.

But they love him, and it upsets them to hear him criticised.

i think its pretty clear i will criticize mancini when i think what he's doing wrong, when he gets things right though that should equally be recorded.

1, the work he's done with the players we have and their attitude in games is only to be commended, that against arsenal was a fantastic display of unity and spirit.
2, last night he was on form with confidence and humour, he came across really well.

there will be times when quite rightly fans will have a pop, i will if i feel it justified, we can't however moan for the sake of it just to stand out from the crowd, why bring the guy down, the players down and the club down when the press will do all that for us.
i think he has made real progress and i am happy is our manager, next season is going to be so awesome you wont get a peep out of the press so lets hope it all continues and ffs enjoy the ride.

Most City fans I know 'in real life' are open minded about Mancini, as am I. He's doing a decent job, and there are some promising signs, but I'll continue to point out things he gets wrong, not because I want to stand out from the crowd, but because I haven't seen enough to be convinced that he's the right man yet. Nice man, good with the press, decent manager, but NOT the second coming some make him out to be imo.

Bill did criticise Mancini at the one before last, about us playing too negative and slow. He got booed down by a few for his observations whilst asking the question.

But rightly so (this is not kiss arse) he stood up and wanted to say how positive the Arsenal performance was with 10 men.

Some of the negative questions that were asked did not get booed because of their nature, but because some of them last night were completely unjust.

"Why do you play 1 up front, its rubbish" or something along those lines. Mancini came back with cold, hard facts of the win against Chelsea, and Liverpool (although it was the weakest Liverpool side i have seen in my lifetime). The person did not seem to accept Mancini's point and did talk over his answers a few times. Why pose the question if you disregard the reply out of hand?

"I'm the coach of the dog and duck in Denton and i know where to play players in the right position..." Maybe this guy did have a potentially valid personal concern, i think it was with A.J on the wrong side, or Milner not being in the middle possibly. But by introducing himself along those lines and how he posed the question which ended up as a rant just diluted any validity the question had.

Those are just 2 examples. Sorry if people thought my Silva training question was boring, but i thought as so many people enjoy Neil McNabs Tash's training updates on here, they may have found Silva's answer to the differences intriguing.

People are right that it would be boring and get old quickly if it was a happy clapping session. But i think mine, Fanzone Danny, and De Niro's point was that the negative questions were either completely unjust or were posed in an inappropriate way.

with you totally on the the bit where its too early to tell, my point is the progress he has made in addressing the adaptation to the way the prem works and the mindset these players now have. he no longer plays negative in every game home or away, to me that part of his weakness no longer exsists and now should not be rammed down his throat.
i am more worried as to why johnson was'nt brought on to attack the arsenal players that were on yellow cards but assume he knows more about the game and his players than me so unless its glaringly obvious (playing one up front v stoke at home)i'd like to extend him the benefit of the doubt, to me he's earned that.
