The average score includes all the teams at the bottom who have stopped playing - literally millions of them, if you are around the average you are very likely to drop.

At least those dead teams got a Joao Pedro gift off the literal ass yesterday on that "goal", so sometimes even a pulse from the dead will register. "Right place, right time" sometimes can earn FPL points.
 
Down nearly 92k places this week. It's weeks like this that make you wonder why you bother continuing on playing. On paper, I think my team is okay. But I guess when your front three only amass 11 pts, you'll struggle. Last week, the same trio amassed 47 pts. And the midfield 4 earned 12 points; last week, 23 pts. 31 pts on the bench as well.
 
My VC has just completed his hat-trick, all I need now is Alfies lad to pull up in the warm up and I'm giggling.........I'm taking this FF lark a bit seriously aren't I :/
 
Guess who moved out Thiago and replaced him with DCL? And 14 pts on the bench. Woltemade comes on for the last 15 minutes (1 pt) while Wilson was my number 1 sub. Think I'm going to knock it on the head for this season. It just isn't working for me at all this last few weeks.

lost 3 cup games, both H2H league games and dropped like a stone, it's just a blip :/
 
Help please..... so in GW 20 I was sure I had Ekitike up front with Thiago on the bench, yet when the scores came in it was the other way around, which was great as Ekitike didn't play whilst Thiago got 17 pts!

However, I am confused, because I was sure I remembered my starting 11 - well certainly the front two.

So my question is this: when a player is a late non-starter as Ekitike was, does the game make an automatic substitution ? I would be surprised if it did, but I am just really really puzzled right now....

I didn't bench boost or play any chip, by-the-way.

Yes, you are one of the lucky ones that got Thiago auto-subbed for Ekitike once he didn't play, despite you having Ekitike in your starting lineup over Thiago. As you have seen, bench ordering does matter.

That is standard FPL behavior. It happens most every week if/when players in your starting lineup do not play. Covered in the FPL rules too.

I'd recommend familiarizing yourself with the rules when a DEFender doesn't play as the game will always pull your first DEF off the bench so you have 3 there. You may not get who is ordered first from another position (MID or FWD).

3rd best GW of the year at 160K on 73 points (only 4 for AnderSON for Ekitike, so no big haul there) during GW20 moving up to just over 5K overall in the world. Good to be back in four digit territory. ;-)

Gutted that City couldn't get the W and the 3 points, despite me having no City on defense. City's front line should have had a better cushion going into the final minutes with numerous chances earlier on in the match.

I am likely going to lose value on Ekitike tonight, but really can't decide who to swap him out for. I was already starting Thiago. When in doubt, probably time to roll before a longer break before GW22 to have an extra one if needed.

I won my 3 cup matches after being narrowly bounced in 2 others during GW19 with a low score and red arrow then. Bad GWs happen, this is a long game.

Well thank you for that, I was really beginning to question my sanity!

However, it has asked me to question the whole fpl fairness.

If I had picked ekitike (or a similar fwd) years ago, and this thing happened - his late injury, I would have had to accept it, is A.I. now beginning to impose itself onto the game? I hope not.

I actually think my team should have stood as I picked it, that it automatically changed is in the small print of the rules is OK, but from a position of sportsmanship, it doesn't sit well with me.

Pretty irrelevant in the big scheme of things, but if by some miracle I was in the top 5 and on target for a big cash prize & this auto-team-change helped a rival it would be annoying.
