Far right wins in Austria

We do need to reverse this trend, the left has always seen this as a class issue, regardless of the colour of ones skin, the single biggest determinant of ones life chances is the class you're born into.

Ask Corbyn or anyone on the left about race, immigration and so on, they always reply that the right uses this as a wedge issue to divide and rule, to distract the downtrodden masses from what's really going on.

But while their analysis is strong, I'm not convinced by their argument.
It’s inevitable that a lot of these countries will try populism for a term and find out how disastrous it will be.

Most standing have no policies, just the vow to stop everything, without being able to.

The UK and much of the West are in relative decline.

In the UK, we have a low-wage, coolie economy. Many people are spending half their income on rent because the price of housing (compared to an average wage) is ludicrous.

On top of that, the days of a 'job for life' are gone. Much of the population is in jobs that could end at any time. They feel insecure because they have no savings (or not much) and know that the state will give little help if they end up on the dole. This is even worse for single people than for those with families, although it's shit for everyone.

No wonder people are pissed off! And the 'popular' press and foghorns like Farage blame it all on foreigners and immigrants because they don't want you blaming the 1% with all the money, most of whom are fucking tax dodgers. People are taken in by this shite, just as they were when Adolf blamed the Jews for Germany losing World War I. Why? Because it's a nice, simple answer, and it implies it's not your fault that you don't have a bean, it's some other ****'s fault and you are entitled to hate them. The only thing is, it's simplistic nonsense which is all the right wing in politics has to offer. Throw in a few Union Jacks and a 'patriotic' song or two and before you know it they're eating out of your hand.

Because their argument is equally simplistic as the nationalist/right wing one - "if we just got rid of the toffs and/or taxed the rich into oblivion, everything would be fine". I am always suspicious of anyone, of any political persuasion, who says the answers to complex problems are simple.

The rise of the right can be correlated to the rise of globalism, sure it was good for the profit margin to offshore all the grunt work to India and China but not so good for the population Business nowadays needs to focus on it's social impact, if you are a bank for sake of argument that's main market is the UK, your help centres should be based here not in in bloody India! Yes costs will increase as you have to pay a decent wage to attract British workers but FFS you are making your money from this market, and this goes for any business
