Every now and again I come across a quote which really does seem to do the job, and I like to make a little note of them.

Due to the stress and pressures of deadlines at the moment its

"I hated every minute of training, but I said, "Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion."

Muhammad Ali.

Does anybody else do/have any great quote to chip in with

I've come across loads over the years that seem really inspirational at the time. But unlike you I fail to note them and end up forgetting. However one that sticks in mind and will be recognisable:-

"If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself"

I don't often admire the words of others, but one thing my old Nan said to me as a young boy and has always held me in good stead is, "If she gives you the clap, give her a slap". There is no substitute for the knowledge of your elders.

These are mine and all could be related to City/football:

JFK: “Victory has a thousand fathers, but defeat is an orphan."

Robert Browning: "A minute's success pays the failure of years."

Dante: "There is no greater sorrow than to remember happy days in grief. "

Dante's right there.

If you love life, don't waste time, for time is what life is made up of. -Bruce Lee

"When you sit with a nice girl for two hours, it seems like two minutes. When you sit on a hot stove for two minutes, it seems like two hours. That's relativity." - Albert Einstein
