Paper (book, old).
Cut grass.
Chips with sore finger.
Maple syrup.
Hot apple pie.
Bergamot.
Baking bread.
Cedar.
Pine.
Hot oxo with pepper.
Fountain-pen ink.
Young, nubile, female bodies that have been basting with sun-tan oil (coconut-based) at the beach and have taken a dip before getting showered and changed for the night. Even after the shower the smell of coconut and sun and beach lingers...
 
Lavender infused antimacassars.
Brylcreem.
The inside of the equipment bag of the Cheltenham Ladies College hockey first XI.
The smoke that precedes a full blaze wafting gently upwards from a tricolour draped around the shoulders of a blissfully unaware Frenchman.
 
My 4 favourite smells are: -
Burger vans at outdoor events
That herbal stuff that jazz players put into their cigarettes
Bundles of large denomination notes (£50's smell best)
Well exercised beaver

Only 2 of the above 4 make it through to my favourite tastes list
