Have you got any of his stuff Bob? You could box it up and send it with a note! Its good that you can focus on other stuff like this!
All great moments by the way ;-)

the fact he stuck up for his team mate bridge just shown he did care about his team and club, he knows the fans loved him and we'll all wish him the best but in my opinion he is replaceable maybe not in terms of workrate but in goals, tevez weakness was that he was greedy, he could of set up many more goals for other players if he passed but maybe all great strikers are greedy. what do i know anyway thanks for everything carlos :-)

Hard to make a call on his best moment in a City shirt - maybe the pen at home against United in the League Cup semi for all that tie stood for.

On the pitch he was truly inspirational, felt privileged to watch a player play like that, skilful, determined and passionate. He was a massive part of our first trophy and elevation into the Champions League.

However, his tantrums when being substituted, getting leave to go to Argentina and then ending up in Tenerife (I think) instead, the constant whining and all the other stuff brought up on these boards, esp the total and out of order disrespectful comments about Manchester, does dilute what he's brought to City in the past 2 years.

If the Corinthians deal goes through it may at least confirm that the 'family' argument does ring true, rather than Spain or Chelsea for example.

Good Luck Carlos, thanks for the memories, just unsure whether you'll be spoken of as a legend in 10 - 20 years time.

Without question the best player I have ever seen play for City. The goal this season at home to Wolves was incredible.

His entire performance in his last home game against Stoke really stands out though. I would have given him a 10 if I was rating him, he was absolutely sensational. Two sublime goals, effectively guaranteeing us Champions League football, what a way to bow out.

Thank you Carlitos for all the memories, despite what others might say, you will always be a true City legend to me as you were our best player of the modern era and lifted the first trophy a whole generation of City fans ever saw us win.

Everyone had their doubts about how genuine the reasons were for him wanting to leave. If he goes to Corinthians and takes a huge pay cut, I think that proves his reasons were genuine and he would certainly go with my best wishes.

I just hope we have a clause in the agreement that he can't go to another European club for at least 3 years (the length of his contract with us) My biggest fear is Kia getting involved with 3rd party ownership again and selling him to Chelsea in January.

Haven't got a best moment, there are too many...

The Welcome to Manchester poster.
Double against Bolton 3-3.
Man of the Match against Chelsea, the 4-2 away, and the 1-0 and 2-1 at home.
Blackpool Double.
The chip v Wigan away.
Semi Final double 2-1 at home and taunting Ratboy.
Return leg at Old Trafford, silencing the Swamp (torn for my favorite goal)
Wigan Hat-trick.
Half Volley v Leicester at home and the cheeky back heel at their place.
Fantastic goal against Wolves this season (torn with the OT goal as my favorite)
Double against Stoke, that amazing free kick.
Lifting the FA Cup.

Sure im missing a few more aswell, but for me he is our best player in decades. Just IMO.
Aside from the issues with him (which I can understand about his kids, which if he kept his dick in his pants would be here and happy) he gave his all for the club and importantly us the fans. Yes he slated Manchester for being boring, but not the people, not us.

I will miss him dearly, and wish him all the best for the future.

There are a lot of moments involving Carlos that are worth mentioning. On the pitch , I don't believe there are many others past or present who can match what he has done at times. The goals against the rags , his double at stamford bridge , his quickfire double against blackpool , his 12 minute hat-trick against wigan , his free kick against stoke. All of them were special moments , and even though off the pitch , he can be a dick , he will always be remembered fondly by me. But my overall favourite moment , has to be when he lifted the FA cup. First man in 35 years to lift silverware for the club and for that he will go down in history at this club. Thankyou and good luck Carlos , you will be greatly missed.

This

Somehow him being a cock is not associated with the guy on the pitch for me. I swore I would not cheer him in the same way after he put the transfer request in after the west ham game. But I couldn't help myself.

More than any player he has put us back on the football ,ap, and to be honest he has a lot to thank us for, he was a bit part player for the rags in that final season, not he is considered one of the best out there.

Thanks for the memories, the king is dead long live the king!

From the moment he signed (well before that, I was just convinced we were going to get him) he became probably the coolest player I've seen at City. He was someone to guarantee a performance. My lad loved Robinho because he was a star signing, well Carlos Tevez was a star who delivered. His first goal at Palace and the chants of "fergie sign him up" had me laughing like no other goal before. He quickly settled in and became the player we all thought we were getting. His constant winding up of United will live with me forever. He played very well in the 3-4 defeat at the swamp but became a man possessed in the first leg of that season's League Cup Semi Final.
I remember taking my lad to the Monday night match against Wigan and wondering whether it had been worth the drive from Hull when I had to be back and in work for 5 o'clock the next morning. Then Carlito lit up the night with a 12 minute hat-trick. Sometimes, the way kids see things is best. My lad doesn't remember the dreary hour before his 1st that night, neither does he remember the pain we all felt when Tevez first announced he wanted to leave on the night we went top of the league at Upton Park.
Well I've decided to recall Carlos Tevez the way my son George does. Goals, goals, goals and quality moments. We all know these latino types are trouble somewhere down the line. We had a quality 2 years though and he took us to places we'd forgotten the club were capable of taking us.

Hats off to you Carlito, you got me.

Not my favourite, but a memory that hasn't been mentioned.

He came on against Celtic, unfit, but to an ovation, there was a ball high into the air, he killed it stone dead, and dribbled at the defence...something we hadn't seen at CoMS, class.

Nice thread. I'd like to mention the game in which he molested a prone Rio Ferdinand, and told an angry, peacocking Rafael that they could continue their conversation in the tunnel.

I hope we don't lament this sale.
