Villa Park April 1981 V Ipswich Town, the one just after the goal when everyone was singing walk alone before some other club decided it was their song. A sea of Sky blue and a great day! I havent the picture but would love a copy of it

Colin Bell was in a very close friendship group with Alan Oakes,Glynn Pardoe & Mike Doyle.

That makes sense, somehow. Alan and Glyn I can certainly see. How do you know that, incidentally? If it's common knowledge, it passed me by.

Over the years there's been some classic City photograph's.

There are 3 I like from the 1976 League Cup Final.

Peter Barnes' equalizing goal.

Denis Tueart's overhead kick winner, which was an amazing goal at the time, probably because nobody had scored like that before.

However, my favourite is this one parading the trophy.

These are men!

Somehow I don't think I'd like to be on the wrong side of those two at the front in a bar room fight…
