Favourite Comedian

If you want a quick cheap cheering up and not very high brow comedy, you could do a lot worse than Tim Vine and Gary Delaney.
Oneliners all the way through but always cheers me up as some of it is just daft, childish but clever at the same time.

Just started watching reruns of the Two Ronnies, and I never realised just how brilliant Ronnie Barker was.
Without doubt The Two Ronnies were brilliant but I thought Barker’s series called Clarence where he was this short sighted fella was hilarious, I used to giggle away at that series. Dead funny.

I remember that from when I was a kid. I liked it, but I think it got panned by the critics if I remember rightly.

Saw Rhod Gilbert live in Halifax a couple of weeks ago. A very powerful, emotional and above all funny show which is well worth catching if you get the chance.

The program about his diagnosis, treatment and ultimate recovery from cancer was a real insight into him and humankind as a whole.

He’s a properly funny bloke and has done some properly mental things in his life!

I always used to love his Saturday morning radio show with Lloyd Langford, usually recorded from his kitchen with interruptions from dogs, posties, his wife etc.

He's probably the most in demand comedian around at the moment, so obviously lots of people like him. I think he's fantastic, but I can see that he wouldn't be for everyone. You'd be hard pushed to find a fellow comedian who doesn't consider him one of the best around right now though.
He’s not had on panel shows, saw him stand up. I wasn’t mad on it, but the crowd loved it

She's a product of 'political correctness', a disabled comedian booked to 'tick s box', like the young disabled lad who won BGT a few years ago, and the autistic lad with ticks who just got to the final of BGT.
Personally, I don't find Rosie particularly funny, but she will have an audience that does. I can say exactly the same about Ben Elton - in my opinion, the least funny 'comedian' I've ever seen. It takes all sorts.

It's entertainment for the masses. That's why we have a selection of channels and an off switch.
She not funny, it’s painful in fact

Just watched her on Taskmaster and she's absolutely hilarious. Not going to lie I struggle with her on panel shows sometimes, her dyspraxia does make some forms of comedy difficult and panel shows are probably the worst for that because so much of it is about quick line delivery.

But Taskmaster showed she's brilliantly funny.

For me it was Jasper Carrott, but generations have different senses of humour, I can’t see anyone apart from Bill Bailey that makes me laugh like he did.
