Which would never have happened if the earlier ( hand of "God") goal had been correctly disallowed and England awarded a free kick. Thus altering the sequence of events from that point.

As great as Yeboah's goal was, I still believe that it was criminal that it beat Gio's brilliant mazy dribble against Southampton for GotS.

Simply unreal goal
I will never forget this goal. Keeps coming to my mind despite the many years (can’t believe it: 42 years) that passed since this fantastic game. In my opinion, the best ever World Cup final. If only for this game, Bearzot was a genius who has been unfairly underrated. I still remember his humble excitement with the performance of his team and winning World Cup after defeating Argentina, Brazil, Poland, and West Germany (what an impressive line to defeat in a row), and all the time the pipe was in his mouth.
