So I guess when you meet people you don't ask questions to get to know them. As you say, what's the point?

The leftovers. When they used to do it in the South of Italy outside in the street they would collect all the tiny bits and bang them in a jar. This then became an ingredient in the soups and casseroles and stews. My Mrs from Naples calls it something like "Gnochi".

This - plus what's hanging around in the fridge and an oxo always makes something gorgeous.

In the morning on Cup Final day against Stoke I insisted that she did one of these just in case it all went Tits.
