It’s perfect for space. “Design” is superfluous. There is no atmosphere, no aerodynamics needed whatsoever. Anything with wings is just silly. The. Cube is only bettered by the sphere.
Pretty sure the Space Shuttle had wings. I guess the need depends on whether it’s going to leave space at any point.

Had an air of reality as they were originally made from various parts of airfix spacecraft kits, so had a familiarity with Apollo spaceships of the time with a touch of 2001 space odyssey moonbus.
Airfix actually made a kit for this, I was a very happy kid when I got one for my 10th birthday.
Think my wife's got one of those in her bedside drawer!
