Favourite Stephen King Movie?

The Mist by far

It is so hard to tell what is serious and what isn't on Bluemoon!

Although The Mist stayed true to the book (apart from the ending) i thought it was an extremely disappointing film.

Been some great shouts, not read shawshank but the film is great, misery, stand by me, green mile are all great too (books and film) thinner is also good, film not as good as the book tho. The stand is great book, wasn't keen on the film with Rob Lowe, running man is good book but the film is shit, even worse now it's dated. needful things was very disappointing considering how good the book is. Pet cemetery, salems lot, Carrie, langoliers, the one with the possessed car, cujo, you forget just how much work the guys done. "It" is a good film but not a patch in the book.

For me, I'd have to say misery, because it's the only one as good as the book.

Needful Things was a brilliant book but what a shit film.

Apt Pupil is very good, both book and film.

Weird this topic showed up, as I was trawling through CeX the other day looking for Misery and Salem's Lot in particular, and anything else to satisfy a Stephen King binge.

I'm not a reader of fiction books but I consider myself a fan of King's nonetheless, mostly on account of the films based on his stories. Top 5 for me are:

1) The Mist
2) Shawshank Redemption
3) Stand By Me
4) Green Mile
5) Carrie

Dead Zone was pretty good, too, as were IT and The Shining.

No contest.
