As daft as it sounds we should go full strength for our next 3 cup games, we can afford to drop points in the league but cup comps are all abou winning
I don't think we can afford to drop any points in the league as we have one fingertip on the trophy and won't let up until we get both hands on it . However Pep will be wise in these next 3 cup games with quality rotation .

Why is it daft to go full strength? Tonight's game is hugely important although one would not think that considering the relative lack of interest around here. The Arsenal game is a cup final which must mean a very strong team and the Wigan game will also see a strong side. Of course we can't really field weak teams these days unless you believe that playing the likes of Foden, Diaz and Yaya would represent such.

BM would go into meltdown - as soon as we drop points in the PL............lol

Why don't we just take it 1 game at a time focus only on the next match and pick a team capable of winning it, after all that's what Pep does, if its good enough for him its more than good enough for me.

Not sure, as we don't have Mendy nor Sané really (IMO) on the left. Also Jesus as a 2nd striker for a 3-5-2 is missing.

I'm not a Basel expert, but I feel their setup is in a way similar to Leicester.
5 at the back, waiting for the counter. Lowest possession (avg 39%) in the current CL campaign.
Not as physical I guess, but very good on the ball and also able to press high.

Oberlin is extremely quick on the break, Walker is the only one to compete pace.

I wouldn't overestimate the 1-0 vs rags, where rags were a bit unlucky and lost in the last minute.
Nor the 5-0 vs Benfica, who were just a shambles.

Pep has only won 4 of 22 CL away games in knockout stages. Should be no. 5 today.

4 wins out of 22 away knockout games is a poor return considering the teams he managed. Threw away a 2 goal lead against Monaco last season. Pep will need to be a bit more pragmatic in the away games if we are to win this competition. Today shouldn't be an issue though.

If we win the next 3 including the Carabao Final, I don't mind a loss away to Arsenal, provided the key players are properly rested to win the next game at home against Chelsea.
