stones should have started imo. other then that its a good team. foden on the bench shows how highly rated he is. are we just going to rotate the centre backs every game now, to give them enough game time ?

Stones hasn't been great since he came back so gone for experience.

All a sudden the squad is looking strong again with Jesus to come back soon too.

I know it would have been a great idea to play an unwell Laporte, half fit Sane and Silva, as well as Delph. Suppose we'll have to slum it with Vinny, Gunda and Bernardo! Same silly twats cry when Nmecha/Diaz/Conlon aren't playing in the cup matches

Any team we put out should be strong enough to get a result against any team at moment. I think the line up is spot on because he picked it.

I think Pep is planning for us to hold the ball in the midfield or in the final third so is using Kompany/Otamendi as a solid foundation to the back for Delph and Walker to get forward. He probably also trusts Delph and Walker enough to stay within a reasonable distance to get back into defensive positions in the case they do get out on the counter if our pressing doesn't get the ball back quick enough.

tbf he was coming back from injury. i think him and otamendi are our best centre backs at the moment, so i reckon he will come back into the team. tricky dilemma for pep trying to keep them happy.
