I have booked the hotel below for Tuesday night as its near the train station but can you confirm its the right train station for a Frankfurt train as we have to leave early Wednesday morning? I thought there were 2 train stations in Basel and I want to be sure.

We are on the train direct to Frankfurt Airport at 0900 or just after..it leaves from Basel SBB .this is the main station. We are also in Ibis Budget but staying in Freiburg the night before for cheaper bars

Thanks for that. We are in Freiburg Monday night and Basel Tuesday night, been to Freiburg before its excellent but hoping places are open.

I am flying into Stuttgart does anyone know if it is cheaper to by my train ticket when I get there or buy it in advance over here?

Not sure now. I booked stuggart flights initially £20 out but ditched it cos of the time of the train journey and the cost of the train was around £60
Now flying via Brussels into Basel and same route back £175
