FC Basel V Manchester City - Post-Match Thread

Thought we were somewhat sloppy and wasteful and yet won so comfortably.

I said in the match thread, everyone else must be shitting their pants.
 
Never mind that.
Looking forward to hearing just how good spuds were for the rest of this evening.

Brilliant performance that and no injuries.
 
Strolled and controlled against a team that won at home several times lately v PL opposition. Including United a few weeks ago. Nuff said.

Some of that defending in the next round will get punished though.
 
You'd have never known we were playing according to Sky. Kept on switching to Dawson for Spurs updates or League fixtures but rarely went anywhere near Let Tiss for our updates.

Not surprised.


Great result and good to have Silva and Sane back.
 
Great result. Some of the football we played was sublime and some was sloppy.

2nd leg a dead rubber just after Chelsea. Excellent news.

Bookings a bit of a pain at 4-0 up but hey ho.

Squad back to strength again. Players back a bit rusty but good game time.

Workmanlike performance tonight. I just hope and pray that our failure to press on and get that all important 5th goal doesn't cost us in the second leg.
