FC Copenhagen (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

Didn’t help we kept the ball in play for 10 minutes when we had a sub waiting.

Well he was also meant to be off earlier but Nunes got a digit injured.

Either way, the game was at walking pace by that point. I don't think it will have done much harm for Erl to be walking around for an extra 10 minutes

Competition starts now imo. Always gonna get through the group stage and batter a poor Copenhagen. The new expanded format is going to be so shit, will get more miss matches like tonight. That second half was a tough watch
Thats what other fans have to watch every week. We’re not used to it :) :)

That's the thing. How do they sell games like this to the fans? It's like the early rounds of the league cup if we draw a minnow.

A comfortable win vs a decent organised side that showed why they topped the rags in the groups phase.

No injuries, minutes to the ones who needed them and a few youngsters able to show why our academy have such high standards nowadays.

Next …

Gomez could be a good shout when we need to close a game down and see one out. Kept the ball excellently and kept it simple. Akanji was brilliant tonight from start to finish and looks captain material on that form. Good to see Viking get a goal but was never gonna get his normal supply without the big playing, but fair play to starting XI, a wins a win. Oh, and Nunez you soft bastard! I put my own dislocated finger back in once and carried on playing..and I was in goal. Ya big girls bra!

Well played City!!!

A routine win and i liked all our goals.
Akanji played well tonight and scored a great goal.
Alvarez played well also and, even though the keep dropped a clanger, he hit that shot hard and has deserved a goal.
The last finished off a great move. A superb ball from Rodri and a great finish by Erling.

I'm glad Pep used his subs but i thought he could've got Erling off earlier and it was a risky move putting Stones on, but it looks like it paid off.

On to Dipperville!
