So the cut off point was about 3500 points, You telling me if Those who applied the Thomas Cook route and they had spare seats on the plane but had applications with lets say 2500 points there were not given a place so Thomas cook did not lose money. Think about it

No, they just sell the spare seats on the plane without a match ticket. You have to sort your own out.

To settle this. I aint got 3500 points which again i feel will be the cut off. I am now going to book through Thomas Cook. As Disdbury Dave has said, his mate got one with less so I am will to take the gamble

I've got proof of the oppiste though. 3 of us booked for the TC trip, 2 of us got places (with 3500+ points) and third one with 3000 points did not get a place. They rang me to tell me he did not have enough. I tried all sorts, including tringing back several times to try and charm them to give him a place but didn't work. I've since heard of examples like yours with people with lower points getting them but it certainly wasn't consistent and I guess it was down to the call centre person that you ended up speaking to.

According to Thomas Cook they will only confirm your booking when you meet the required points criteria? Why dont you book on the Bluemoon trip with Spike you dont need any points to be confimed on that and I would definitely recommend one of Spike's trips.

Erm Thomas Cook dont get their own allocation. You apply through them like you would with the club but if you dont have enough loyalty points you dont get them. In fact there is less chance of scamming it cos the person getting the ticket HAS to be the person flying, so people cant use others tickets that have higher points.

Your living in dreamland if you think that one of our major sponsors wont get tickets above normal fans.
Could not agree more, There were fans who went to the Schalke games who had less points than the club policy and got a ticket cos they went the Thomas Cook route. remember they have to fill the flights!!
Thats bullshit, who were these fans then?
Well explain to me then, that when my Dad got ill and couldnt come, when I attempted to change the name on the filght to my cousin (2 days before) they wouldnt let them have the tickets unless they had the required loyalty points? Fortunately I had already got the tickets directly from the ticket office so they allowed us to do it.

getting back to the trip, in midgetland we found a bar called the city bodega that sold draught fo 22k & bottles for 15k at the it was 10k to £, the supermarkets are a similar price to ours, so if you shop around you can get merry for a reasonable price.
flights are around £200,
plenty of choice for digs
its unlikely we will be in europe next season
we struggled against the midgets & these are better & taking into account our inconsistency, i would recommend you get yourselves on this trip.

it could be a while before our next one

God bless the Scrabster Six

Aye, the Faroes locals recommended that you stock up in Supermarkets, get drunk on the cheap beer from there and then head out to the bars once 'merry' to enjoy the company of the fine Scandanavian women!

We've found flights from Stanstead to Copenhagen for £140 with Sleazyjet.

Let's hope they don't serve stuff like Squid Barms in Denmark, still getting over the one we had it Spain. It really did look like a chip barm though. Ughhhh

Just looking at train vs. plane options to get down to Stanstead! New year, new carbon footprint! :o)

ground holds 41500, we are entitled to 5%

just over 2000 tickets if the rules mean anything
The capacity is reduced to just over 34,000 as one stand is being redeveloped.

not sure if doing 2 or 3 day trip yet

if 2 its soccer options £269

if 3 its BA manchester to copenhagen via heathrow £197 if still available, but quite a few options from manchester to copenhagen (none direct though) for around the £200 mark

would rather pay extra for manchester flight rather the hassle of getting down south & back

my mates booked from birmingham with 2 nights digs for about £280 on expedia
