Would have adopted any colour to suit his ego centric self ambition, we were the unlucky one. When he was appointed to the board to mediate between the two sides there was never any mention of his City “credentials”

Alastair Mackintosh.

Always claimed he was from a family of Blues yet his father said in a newspaper interview that they were United fans. He was a mascot at a game in Stoke v the rags and, when this was discovered, claimed he was the Stoke mascot although there's allegedly a photo proving he was the rag mascot.

That’s the one. I remember when we were having all the boardroom upheaval with Shinawatra and my Dad’s mate was glad to see Mackintosh go as he was adamant he was a red. I’ll be honest, I barely knew his name myself at the time (not my Dad’s mate, I’ve known him for years)

That clown Maddock (not Maddocks the old club historian) appointed by Swales as some sort of general manager. He was brought in to ditch Reid (the right decision) and replaced him with Horton (not necessarily the right decision but we played some great stuff under him).
When Maddock was appointed he was asked about his favourite game and answered "beating Leicester 3-1 in the FA Cup final". - The rags beat them 3-1, we beat them 1-0.

Didnt see any City fans the first time I went there pre takeover but theres been a few turn up the last 3 times Ive been post takeover.

As a Salford Blue myself I have no affinity to that club and the presence of the Crass of 92 has put the final nail in it.

I estimate not even 2 years!
I was (at the time of the planning) a resident near to the ground for 19 years. All my objections were too conveniently and too easily dismissed as being from a Bitter Blue - they never were. This is a football club built on sand. All style but no substance. They depended on outside funding to survive. Having worked in the voluntary sector for 20 years before I emigrated, there is only so much money you can attract.... there simply isn't one non league football club out there running at break even.... I knew this, local residents knew this.... but Mancheter city council for whatever reason pulled their pants down and said take what you want..... It doesn't make me feel big headed to say ''I told you so'' because the damage has been done.... the club go tits up and the local residents are left with an eye sore and white elephant......
Would love to have NorthManc7 / Sez come on here and give us his ''all is rosy in the Rag Socks garden.....''
