FC United thread

My wife’s mate runs the club/bar. Her husband was one of the original cry baby start up gang, he’s never stopped going to the swamp!

According to the wife’s mate it’s only the functions that are keeping them going.
I know a cry baby too. It's bad enough being one but being deluded and thinking you are Che Guevara as well takes the biscuit.

well today's the day, It could be the end of FCUM if the glazers sell

It will be like a lost dog in Broadhurst park and people saying, GO home, go on, Go Home

Is Moston Station still in use?
Had many a night out in Hebden Bridge and caught the last train home, asking whoever was sat nearby me that was heading into Manchester to wake me up at Moston.... then walk down Lightbowne Road to home
Used to do similar whenever I lived opposite the Lightbowne before getting married back in the 70’s, used Dean Lane if coming from Manchester as well

Did you have good neighbours? ;-) I know loads of people who lived on Ramsey and Aubrey Ave back in the day. Changed so much these days and not for the better :(
My immediate neighbours were good - both rags though when I moved in. Then one of them moved and this bloke and his young son moved in, followed by his girlfriend a few weeks later. He slapped the shit out of her and her screams and crying was just too much to listen to and one day I called the police and thankfully after they intervened she left him and eventually he moved out too (he was renting).
Never had an issue with anyone else in the street, lived their from 2004 until 2011.

I wasn't meaning Ramsey St, I meant Moston in general. Parts of it are unrecognisable to the place I grew up in the 80s n 90s.

Enough about Moston, let's get back to laughing at the Splitters.

They have a Commercial Managers job going - £45K would you believe.

Anyway I noted they are following "Big Red" in the bullshit Social Media numbers game.

"By joining FC United you can expect to be part of something special. You’ll be working for a club that has one of the highest profiles in the English non-league game. We have 3,200 members, more than 2,000 passionate, invested supporters at our home games and almost one million engaged followers worldwide via our social media networks."

They are also following the rags in bending the truth, it seems.

OK, not so much bending it, as breaking it into little pieces.

They probably include every post in this thread as being part of their "social media networks".

£45k a year? wow
So they have to bring in that amount in sponsorship just to stand still. Any less and once more they are heammoraging money again.
