Well done Abbey Hey F.C.
A proper local Non-League club who deserve Manchester City Council support, but have probably been ignored because of these attention-seeking charlatans...
A local non league team that has grown organically over decades and lives within its means and not run by a bunch of entitled attention seekers that think the local tax payers owe them a living……

Thought that GMP wouldn't allow The Splitters to play at home the same date as when City played against the Etihad ?
Good luck to Abbey Hey F.C. - not the easiest ground to find...
The original board at the time of the planning for the stadium, agreed to a whole host of restrictions. They weren’t in a position to disagree and did what they had to do in order to get the green light.

There was supposed to be volunteer “traffic Marshalls” patrolling local streets to ensure fans weren’t blocking side streets and annoying locals. Of course saying there will be volunteers and actually having volunteers is one thing. It lasted a very short period until these volunteers realised they were missing the beginnings of each game whilst pounding local streets….. so that one fell by the wayside.

To begin with the Rag Socks had to play on different days than City did and City games took precident. After about 2 years the Rag Socks asked the council to over turn that ruling because according to the Bucketeers the late changes to kick off days / times to City games was an “inconvenience” to the Rag Socks.
There was another restriction to the amount of advertisement boards they could display around the pitch (and I think the council took a cut of that too) and again they had that changed for whatever reason……

They chipped away at the restrictions they agreed to in order to get the stadium up and running to then suit their own agenda

I hake all these fishy puns
Your comment is just click bait

The Rebels Without A Clue won Wednesday night 3-0 away at Stocksbridge Park Steels. 357 attendance.
I recall the days when the Bucketeers took a minimum 3 times that amount to away games!
4 points behind the leaders in 3rd place with a game in hand - but are going to get stuffed by Halifax on Saturday in the FA Trophy.
