FC United Thread

the board mused over scrapping the failing girls academy but decided that would be bad for their reputation.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha
They really don’t have any sense of self awareness do they?
What fucking reputation?

I see they are in the FA Trophy or Vase tomorrow. Hopefully a defeat puts another nail in their finances but I suspect the new manager bounce will drag them through

Interesting news yesterday, the latest round of bucket shaking has raised £30 grand to go towards paying off their debts. £25k was donated last year & £5k this year. They’ve now made a payment of £10k, a mere drop in the ocean. The money did not go to the council. Their fans are now asking why it’s taken so long when the interest has been building & why they’ve only paid off £10 grand from £30k donations that were supposedly ring fenced to go towards paying off the debt.

So the three questions are
1. Who received the £10K? The council or do they have other outstanding loans with other companies / organisations?
2. Where is the other £20K
3. What are they doing (or done with) it?

Oh dear MES. if only you had read the diatribe. It states the they owe money to someone (can't remember who, can't be arsed re-reading but NOT the council) They have paid off 10k to them. The remaining 20k has been put aside as a contingency in case things go wrong this season.....
They clearly see financial issues on the horizon so rather than pay it to debtors then run the club properly and with financial constraints, they have held it back to allow them to carry on wasting it.

Makes sense. Yeh right.

Mostonisblue says it wasn’t the council but the article by the club doesn’t. Neither does it say anything about the other £20K - my questions are questions the members should be asking the board.

What cracks me up is their season ticket prices are hailed as revolutionary with their low price to “keep football affordable” but then add their famous line “with a suggested donation to the club” (is that a tax free donation?) and then they beg for another £15 on top donation a month!

Season ticket prices as voted for by you:

  • Adult – £175 (plus a recommended donation of at least £75 if you can afford it)
So that is £250 plus £180 (£15 per month donation) = £430 for a season ticket to watch a 7th tier team. How much is City’s cheapest adult season ticket?

The payment went to pay the big issue loan back. the other 20 grand was kept in the club bank account as they have cash flow worries, but the board claim it remained ringfenced ‍their Members are asking questions as they’re not happy

The donation part of the season ticket is tax free, it’s a cunning loophole. Also quick to publicise the low prices but budget and can’t afford to operate without people making the donation as well

Fecking hell.
These charlatans have no pride or morals.
To get a loan off the Big Issue seems a very odd source for money ?
You're scrounging off a not for profit organisation that supposedly supports the poorest part of society i.e. the homeless ?
They'll no doubt be sponsored by Oxfam very soon...

They'll be tapping up Comic Relief next.
May as well seeing as they are run and supported by a bunch of jokers and clowns

So they owe the council 900K and the Big Issue 79K.
Anyone else? lol

I hope they don’t sell poppies, penny for the guy and do Christmas Carolling.

Are they doing anything for Halloween?
Sponsor a pumpkin - £100
Name that witch - £50 a guess
Grab that ghoul - £10 a go.
Haunted House - £5 a visit - special attractions include; Lifesize posters of Luke Chadwick, Phil the Face emojis round every corner and dare you creep past the shit stained, rambling, pissed up Glaswegian on the way out!

Wear your Zebra Pants, NYC baseball caps & bring your carry outs in the megastore carrier bag that you’ve had since you bought your first giggsy duvet cover as we join in a rousing chorus of ‘why don’t Citeh fuck off home’ as the witching hour approaches.

Entrance is free but, a suggested donation of £80 is suggested.
Don’t forget to gift aid your contribution as we’re pretty sure we’ve found a loophole to steal that too.
