FC United Thread

Easy to get confused when they are such compulsive liars. to summarise, it’s 2 separate articles Here’s the PR puff piece from their ex chairman and current official where he details his reasons for leaving old Trafford in 2005.

Here’s the actual truth from the MENs court reporting in 2005 detailing that he received a banning order from all premier league, football league grounds and had to surrender his passport when England or the rags played away.

Seems M40 isn’t the only one that’s misleading with the actual truth. Also the latest bill for damaging an away ground isn’t the only one they’ve had whilst “making friends”
Was he also the author of a book 'How to Make Friends and Influence People'

Just askin'

To be clear he’s no longer the current chairman, he was on the board for 6 years. He’s currently on the football committee & is the clubs representative for organising the fenix, has just stepped back from his role as football match day secretary. He’s basically also the boards online enforcer, making sure the rest of them don’t start speaking up against the party line. Many past board members complained that during their time on the board they were bullied by him. He admits at the end of his tenure as chair the board wasn’t functioning as they wouldn’t speak to each other.

It’s funny that he gave interviews about why he & others left the swamp in 2005 & always forgets to mention that the key reason he stopped going was court enforced.

I also know of someone who was a rag but then a turncoat.
Why he chose to turn up at the demonstration before the rag v dipper match I'll never know. I thought turncoat fans had left the rags behind.
Anyway, I assume he now regrets throwing the bottle at police during the demo especially as the subsequent conviction cost him his dream job.
It's a pity the 3 year ban from football didnt include his new club.
Making friends, don't make me laugh.

Thanks for clearing that up.
He went from chair chucker to chair!

I liked this gem from his interview

"Even though they are in debt, there is still no sponsorship on the club’s kit as the fans are against overt commercialism. However, in the future they may have to allow more sponsorship in the future to raise funds.

Seddon added: “If we ever go up to the league above we’d need more money and the way we run things at the moment will become restrictive. Therefore we’d have to become more commercial and that goes against some of our fans wishes as they want us to stand on our own two feet."

So the club refuse to have advertising on the shirts which would bring in extra revenue and yet some.of the fans want this to remain as they want the club to be able to "stand on their own two feet".
So where do these fans stand on their principles of borrowing a million quid from the council? And how does that fit in with standing on their own two feet?
You couldn't make this shit up. The council.should force them to have the council logo on the shirt for free and knock £10,000 a year off the debt!
