Nothing economical about those facts there is a suggested donation sure but it is precisely that, a suggestion to those who can afford to pay a bit extra. Nobody has to pay over the minimum but people do to help finance their club and allow us to survive in the league we are in. So no it isn't a scam. In fact a few other clubs have taken on our idea and implemented it themselves. Good on them.Being a little economical with the facts there..... yes it is pay as you want.... but then there is the little matter of ''and then make a donation to the club with a suggested (was it 70 quid??) too''.
Is this a tax scam? As you will pay tax on the price of a season ticket, but not on the donation. Hmmm
Dear Inland Revenue,
I was wondering if you can help me with a question......?
Not that many, with the odd exception of course, Stockport / Salford etc. The majority still only bring double figures. How many more away fans do you get now compared to the heady days of the NWCL?
Not sure how discussing my club is provocative. Few others fit that description before I do.Why do you keep feeding this boring troll?
So just say prices are set at 150 quid but the pay as you can afford minimum is 60 quid. I pay the 60 but then add another 40 as a donation. I have therefore paid 100 - of which only 60 was taxable.Nothing economical about those facts there is a suggested donation sure but it is precisely that, a suggestion to those who can afford to pay a bit extra. Jesus sometimes you've just got to laugh. I will say something though that's an impressive amount of wrong in such a short paragraph so kudos on that. Amused me that did.As a club and fans they have bullied their way through the lower leagues with resources no other club at that level can compete with. However they describe it they wanted instant success and I doubt any of their so called fans would have the balls to support a real and proper grass roots non league football team.
Lower level glory hunters.
But then they're not set at 150 are they. I see no issue with how it is currently. There's discussion amongst members most seasons but the pay what you can afford always gets voted back in. Will likely only change if it ever becomes unsustainable. As it is I'm proud of the current scheme and hope it continues indefinately as it means nobody gets excluded because of their finances. Which is how football should be.So just say prices are set at 150 quid but the pay as you can afford minimum is 60 quid. I pay the 60 but then add another 40 as a donation. Most Salford City fans can't stand Fc Utd ,of wherever this week.and the knuckle staggers they've seemed to attract..
The splitters as we like to call them....

OK, so how much was a season ticket for this season?Jesus sometimes you've just got to laugh. I will say something though that's an impressive amount of wrong in such a short paragraph so kudos on that. Amused me that did.

I think Shirley meant those days strolling through the NWCL, players were dropping down divisions to play for then Bury Rag Socks as they were being paid slightly more than the average team in those leagues due to the crowds attending games.Jesus sometimes you've just got to laugh. Okay well you got the fan bit right but we've never had financial clout. If you actually knew what you were talking about you'd know that other than season 1 when we received initial donations and the year we got to the 2nd round of the FA Cup we've made a loss every single year primarily because of having to pay extortionate amounts to rent our temporary home venues.Having a ready made fan base of several thousand and financial clout which no other club could compete with when you were formed. I think it's you what's wrong rewriting your short history every time you appear on here as nothing more and nothing less than a mouthpiece.
That's amazing what you've done there. Bet your mates in the playground were impressed.Soccer

Manchester,
As I like to call them.
Except they weren't, players dropping divisions were taking pay cuts to turn out at a league ground in front of thousands within a relatively professional setup that occasionally got to play in other countries. That is what other clubs couldn't compete with and still can't to a lesser degree.I think Shirley meant those days strolling through the NWCL, players were dropping down divisions to play for then Bury Rag Socks as they were being paid slightly more than the average team in those leagues due to the crowds attending games.
Many at the time were idiots then, to this day we still have a great relationship with many of the North West counties clubs. That's exactly what I was trying to describe although many at the time used the word bullying rather than strolling.
Cheers MES
He’ll have you!As this is a football forum can I just mention last night's result: Kidderminster Harriers 4 FC Splitters 0.
They may well have taken pay cuts to drop divisions but they were still paid more than what other regular NWCL players were receiving.Except they weren't, players dropping divisions were taking pay cuts to turn out at a league ground in front of thousands within a relatively professional setup that occasionally got to play in other countries.
