I remember the cycle speedway track in Heaton Park as a kid, in the trees between back of boating lake and the field facing Sheepfoot Lane. Still there but way overgrown last time I was there.

Pretty sure it was Rochdale, I think shared with the rugby club..went watching Belle Vue Aces 'colts' there one school night - bleak, wet, cold, yup, great memories!!

It was at the original Rochdale Hornets RL ground I think, as Im sure I remember stock cars on that same track

was a great watch and seen some bad crashes and fights the umpire or referee in the middle stood no chance with his flag hahah

Wierd that Crewe can't field a team against Witton tomorrow in fa cup but that's postponed till 28th
