FC United Thread

A lot of non-league clubs are "mini me". Everyone takes ideas from everyone, a lot of the time local, other times from further afield. Having "Celtic" in your name and wearing green and white. Being from Leeds and wearing white shirts, and blue shorts like Guiseley. Having "Athletic" in your name and wearing red and white stripes etc.

We've got no money, it's been said several times in this thread. The council look at our finances, so how is any individual taking money out of the club? You know the club can't change if they're selected in the FA Cup on TV don't you? One of those games was during covid and allowed our fans to watch the team. But that is out of our control unless we boycott the competition completely, but it's actually the best part of non-league football, so why would we.

It's awful when someone automatically assumes that you're guilty without looking at the facts isn't it? I don't think City fans could cope with that, not that it'll ever happen.

F**K off

Why on earth did the Manchester City Council get involved with this bunch of muppets ? Self-acclaim fan-run club ? My Arse, Wants help from charities and the council and other people with bucket shakers,

Self-acclaim fan-run club with a so-called fan base of around 10.000 but struggles to get 1000, The fall from grace didn't take long and the fan-elected board showed its true colours and took the money and spent it on themselves.

They hate The Glazer because they were taking money out of the club, At least they told you what they were doing
unlike your board members

They have 89.5K followers on Twatter. Show some respect

I knew someone that was out and out fcum. He hated the Glazers so much he turned away from his boyhood club.
The strange thing is, the dibble kicked his door in and arrested him.
It turned out that the dibble had him on film, lobbing a bottle at cops during the pre match, rag v dip match riot.
(It also cost him his job when he was convicted)
The point being..... why, if you have turned your back on the real rags and you hate them so much you join the rebels, why are you turning up at rag demonstrations ?

I'd ask the sheriff but he'd just lie.
So I won't.

Can we keep this new thieving liar that has decided to come on here with their fanciful notions?

They’ve not once mentioned any of the original punk pioneers who scuttled off with council tax payers money.
Nothing to see here - move along.

I really do like how they seem to equate conning the public purse to fund this disgrace with historic local non league clubs who built their clubs truly from the bottom up.

Every journey starts with a first step - one set of supporters do it out of altruism, civic pride and a love of the game. One set of supporters do it out of a sense of self entitlement & greed.

I had the pleasure of attending a do at Droylsden’s ground a few months back - very impressed with how well they have achieved what they have.

A true community club with facilities funded through hard work.

You’re part of a massive crime that has been committed in plain sight - every single member of staff at Pallet Park are literally stealing a living.
Any penny made should be earmarked first and foremost to pay back the council tax payers of Manchester.

The whole set up should be run by volunteers and the function room should be council run - not people benefiting from the council tax payer.

That’s the issue - yes I am a City fan - always have been and always will be. I have been attending home & away since 1975 I have lived through, and never gave up, some appalling times. Never once thinking of turning my back on City.
Guess what though? There’s tens of thousands of us who thought and acted exactly the same.

When you ‘used’ to support united you loved to be the wannabe playground bully forever not understanding why we never gave up and it really got every last one of you - the banner proved that.

Now you resemble the annoying little shit scriking in the corner that it’s not fair and still thinking that we’re as interested now in your opinion when, in fact, we never were!

City are not to blame for anything. You’re responsible for your own ills - champagne lifestyle with a brown ale income.

Keep peddling your fairytales though I doubt even Hans Christian Andersen could do a better job.
