FC United thread

The council have fallen for the sunken cost fallacy. They can’t face the embarrassment & offered them extra cash, ridiculous preferential terms on loans they couldn’t repay & senior staff members to help bail out their board. Any other club or company in their situation would have been would up ages ago.

I still don’t think the council will let it happen but here’s the latest board papers saying what a shit financial situation they’re in & the co-owners need to be more understanding & realise just how fucked they are.

The Christmas grift is on for the bucket shakers. £27 for a 1 course meal of curry and potatoes!!!

The pre match dining hasn’t been a massive hit, funnily enough non league football fans don’t want to pay for overpriced shit food.

Here’s the attendances for the pre match dining this year

The three new shirts they launched this year haven’t sold as well as they thought. Quelle surprise! Who’s have thought a non league moston based club struggling to get fans through the door that constantly goes on about its affordability wouldn’t sell the thousands of strips that these bellends budgeted for? Don’t worry though, that wasn’t bad planning or a stupidly naive financial assumption.

although the marketing might not have been right the main problem was the fans voting for shirts that are just too boring. If those pesky fans don’t start voting for and buying more wacky shirts they’re going to have to “consider alternatives to raise the necessary income” & we all know what that means by now…. Bring on the buckets

The thick cunts should sell em outside the swamp, now they know their level is they’ll lap them up.

They can be summed up by Bubbles, every money making scheme leads to more money making schemes & broken promises.

I enjoyed the sentence; "For the second consecutive season, facing this level of unprecedented disruption...".

….. and barrel collections!

They’ve fucked the buckets off and are now using barrels!

“While we absolutely respect the democratic process and the right of fans to make that decision…..”
You read that line and say to yourself the following line is
“But we are going to do it our way regardless ….”

And also blaming female fans for not buying the shirts! Or blaming co-owners for not buying them for their partners!

They also prattle on about “some of our most iconic shirts” in the same way that they describe Pallet Park as being an “iconic stadium.”
What a very high opinion of themselves these chancers have!

Prior to Covid I don’t think I had ever heard the word “unprecedented”.
Now every little drama / incident / natural disaster is “unprecedented”.
Politicians line up to inform us this is “unprecedented” as if it’s a get out clause for their incompetence.

Now we have the Moston Rag Socks, 20 years old, stating that their financial situation is “unprecedented”, said as if they’ve been around since Noah built his arc.
Their finances have been up shit creek since season one (probably why Noah built his arc!) Stop with this political spin bullshit.
It would be “unprecedented” if the Bucketeers actually made a fucking profit two years running!

I think it's time the local community helped out. The best way to do this is via a donation from Manchester City Council. That way everyone gets to donate the same amount.

Thanks for that - made me feel an awful lot older.
Feck me 20 yrs and the highest they've managed is 13th in National League North with their attendances and income
In comparison, AFC Wimbledon, a fan led club formed by fans with a legitimate reason for starting the club up, took 9 years to reach the football league and have stayed there.

Bit of a bonus today, I always give the yard the finger as I pass by to & from City but today, I see they're playing at home with a 15.00 KO.

Nice to give the finger to moving zombies as well as a pile of rotting wood.
Surprised they haven’t got bucket shakers at the lights at the junction of Lightbowne and Nuthurst Roads, asking blues travelling though to chip in a few coins to help the cause…..

They managed a big win today. Despite moaning & shaking the buckets because they that they haven’t had any games for so long they finally got a Saturday home game & only got 1384 bother turn up to watch them

The shifty Sheriff of M40 will be along shortly telling us with that attendance they will have turned a tidy profit!
