You haven’t heard of them as they’re a two year old club who play in the third division in Montenegro. The standard of the third division in Montenegro is that the players play for free in front of as many as 40 people. The FC manager is so uninterested that he can’t even be bothered to go, he didn’t bother with the last round of the joke tournament either

That whole European tournament thing is just a joke. Costs them money to play in it, too, which could be much better spent elsewhere, not least paying back what they owe the Council. But they have to do it so they can bang on about their own special European nights under lights.

Yet another example of why this is a vanity project and not a community club.

Here’s a question for the council if anyone can be arsed to ask it.

How many free tickets did they receive for the Oasis gig at Heaton Park?

How did they decide which charities or organisations to support?

Why was it the bucketeers that got given two to try & encourage people to buy tickets early (& prop up the problematic cash flow) for a friendly match between Rag has beens vs bucketeers old boys? Was there nobody else worthy of a few crumbs from the council table? No other worthy causes considered? haven’t FC already taken enough?

For anyone that’s interested they’re still a basket case financially. The accounts haven’t been completed for January & February yet but at the end of December, the good news is they’d made a profit of a massive £700 on the month. The bad news is that half way through the financial year they’d made a loss of £7,600 despite forecasting profits of over £24,000 for the same six months.

Remember they have agreed to pay back the council £75,000 next year, a figure which increases every year & they also hope to make voluntary overpayments. They intend to start the direct debit paying monthly in July.

At this point they don’t need difficult decisions, they need a bloody miracle and a dose of reality. They can’t just hope to keep relying on shaking the buckets or fans popping their clogs leaving them money in the will (that’s the only thing alleviating the current cash flow crisis this month)

When they have supposedly broken away from big united why would they play against their legends and who would want to play against them, although they appear to be getting fees for playing.
Not sure we will see a match between AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons legends anytime soon.

Fucking hell, that’s just tragic and the champions league theme on top of it all sends it over the edge into pure cringe comedy.

Also, I’m sure UEFA might have something to say about using that music at a tinpot competition, even if it is one of ‘theirs’. It’s copyrighted and only used for the CL. For example, they don’t play it at Europe League games.

But, unbelievably, a lot of other Non-league clubs (not from the North West, so unaware of them buying their way up the leagues), think that FCUM are an example of how to successfully grow and expand a club's support ?
The publicity machine behind these fraudsters have been very clever in projecting the International Fenix Cup as a "reward" for achieving domestic clubs.
Their self-importance and expectation is brass-necked and delusional.
Let them rot in their own hell...
