FC United thread

who gives a f**k it will not be long before Salford city reds and FCUM will team up together and make a new club called

SCUM

can you not equate this bunch of cunts with left wing politics please.
they are just cunts not lefties, right on or otherwise
They'll have committees, sub committees, resolutions, shows of support for one legged pie producers from Burnley. Its all a power trip for them. Kevin Parker should go and support them, he's into all that nonsense.

I don't have an issue with Salford City - sure, they're part-owned by some ex-United players but they've been in existence for 75 years and weren't initially formed as some kind of vanity project. I was hoping they'd draw FC SCUM and smash them into next week to be honest.

You have to put everything to one side here. Numerous FC United fans oppose the gentrification of football and wanted to set up a club they could afford to attend. If they want to charge £9 then they should be able to. The FA are forcing them to put the price up and this is awful. The club are going to hand out £1 vouchers for money off food and drink inside the ground to help rectify the situation.

All well and good giving them a £1 back to spend on food and drink. What will they be able to buy with a £1? Nothing so more money going back to the club

When I originally posted I thought they were away, now I have read the evening news article on it and found they are at home, then they really are just media whoring the sad cunts, after all their fans are all local so shouldn't be an issue with going, game will be over long before 10 and it's not like the congestion will be bad.

Salford City United Manchester. Oh I hope so. This HISTORICAL opposition they are talking about, how far does it go back in history ?

When the club entered the FA Cup (I think you had to be 3 years a member of the FA before you can enter) the club's members voted to enter the competition, acknowledging the demands of TV.
So that statement saying ''we said no, but they said yes, so we have to go along with it'' appears to be a hollow, time wasting gesture that reminds me of people who choose to work in Saudi Arabia and then complain they cant get a drink.....

I believe Kevin Parker will be at most City games, home and away. Will you? Just asking like.

More media whoring from our resident footballing commies, a repugnant club followed by ageing thugs and wannabe revolutionaries, c'mon Chesterfield.

So the hypocritical turncunt wankers would be happy to move the match to a Friday to coin the TV money but not a Monday. Historical bullshit from the fickle obsessives

If you don't want £1 off your beer at City then I'll gladly take that voucher off your hands!

didnt that happen when they played rochdale (5 years ago) moved for sky on a friday night , didnt hear them complaining then

To their credit, they've not actually opposed TV coverage per se. Just inconvenient ones. Arsenal away with City is shit on Monday night. I think the ticket price increase is the major issue.

They could always just say no to TV money and play the game on Saturday like their members want.

Seems a commitment to principles does have a price for them too.

Most tv coverage is inconvenient, friday nights, early saturdays, late sundays, monday nights. They knew the rules before they joined the competition and they also know as a club that courts media attention at every opportunity that they are likely tv picks. They are at home so they are not even really affected unlike the Chesterfield fans. Same they would be aware of the £10 ticket rule before the comp started, so they could have opted out of the comp or put it to the comittee, they didn't so they should stop acting like spoilt twats who are hard done by, it's a shame that our sports media are so obsessed with ragdom orherwise other non league teams mught have been chosen who would be more than happy with the £67000 tv revenue.
