Did anyone see this on a tram? (number 1 below) and here a few more quotes from the FC forum about City fans / Blue Moon ................

1)"It was rockin' and no room for the poor souls sculking off home after being knocked out of the cup. The looks on their faces when a tram full of United singing "U.N.I.T.E.D, United are the team for me" was priceless."

2)"Go to the general football forum, it's a thread called 'FC united fans at chorley' where clearly a few FC threads have been merged together. Seriously bitter stuff"

3)"How times change. Only a few seasons ago they were the "true" Manchester side. The peoples club. The club that hated Utd because they were rich and famous around the globe.

They have "forgotten" all the bitter bile spilt out to Utd. Now they have a massive amount of money twisting all the rules to keep as many of the most expensive footballers in the world.

The main protagonists on there are Truertsoverhead kick and the self imposed USA exile MES. Without these 2 dickheads stirring it they wouldn't even take a look at us. But again these 2 are proper bitters as they also had much to do with the Judicial review we had and won. These 2 just hate defeat like the one they got rammed down their throats yesterday.

Money hey. Pity they have NO SAY AT ALL IN WHAT HAPPENS AT THEIR CLUB. Despite all the money."

4)"A few highlights yesterday, the win for starters, then hearing the blue shit had been beaten by Boro but the best bit was listening to the shallow bastards imploding on Radio Manchester, slagging off Pellegrini, their goalie, the late return from Abu Dhabi and anyone else they could blame. They are a real classless joke and allowing the thick bastard Gattenby to wind them up proves they're stupid."

5"because they have not got a clue what to do years of trying to proclaim themselves as the local community club, hating United for having money ruining football, big transfers, big business high ticket prices out of towners tourists etc etc

now they have money trying to turn into everything they always proclaimed to be against

win trophies that no one apart from them even gives a toss about crying because they win the league and the press still write more about United
even United fans congratulating them for winning the league ahead of liverpool

even the club counting the twitter mentions by the press the day after they win the league then complaining to them that they won the league Yet United still get more mentions and tweets then them
at the end of the day a lucky lottery win they are just the mickey carroll of the football world all that money yet will never be invited to sit at the top of the table

used to be almost everyone else's favourite second team but only because they was all ABU but now realise its not because everyone else loved them they just hated United more and these people they find out now don't really give a toss about them

Then along come a small proper community football team a non league team that show them how it really should be done

city the chavs of the football world

I find it hilarious trying to twist and squirm not knowing what to do

city the chavs of the football world"

Oh the Irony

Bwahahahahahahahahahaha! Sounds like that lemon-sucking fuckwit is a teensy weensy bit bitter about something.

Community club my arse. Attention seeking hypocritical plastics is more apt. Bang on like fuck about traditional 3pm kick-offs on a Saturday and how they'd never "sell out" to the TV companies yet as soon as ESPN waved a wedge of cash under their noses to screen their FA Cup tie at Rochdale on a Friday evening they couldn't abandon their so-called fucking principles quick enough.

And so what if we took the piss out of United for all those things - it's what rival fans do you stupid twat! In fact, many a City fan gave a begrudging nod to United stealing a march on Liverpool 20-odd years ago in terms of maximising revenues from their global support base. You know, the kind of commercialism that FC Scum fans lapped up for fucking years while following United and yet you have the cheek to claim that WE have become everything we despised.

I've far more respect for those United fans that didn't turn their back on their club as soon as the Glazers took over. Shit owners they might be but so fucking what? It's not as though they pulled a fucking MK Dons on you is it? And while those United fans who stuck by their club might hate City and we might hate United, for all the banter and piss-taking, neither set of fans has ever embarked on a fake moralistic campaign and claimed to be the saviours of all that is wrong in the modern game unlike that 4-eyed **** Walsh and his army of lemmings.

Re: FC United Fans At Chorley (P8)

Wow I am so flattered to be so fondly thought of / remembered.
I wonder if the two scrotes who kicked my back door in and came in looking for me will be reading this?
They might like to know that the two young females who were renting my house at the time were OK after the initial shock of the incident, frightened for their lives as they huddled together in the bedroom as they came upstairs searching the rooms.
It was very community minded of them to want to meet with me, sadly I was no longer living there.

The FC United thugs are just bully boys in the non leagues, just like the fans of their parent club.
Not "just like", its the same 'fans'.

Exactly, it is the same fans who could no longer bully their way around the prem due to stricter policing and ticket controls.

I don't believe for one moment they have turned their back on the rags, they want the best of both worlds.

Re: FC United Fans At Chorley (P8)

Just booked my flights, can't wait for this one.... couple of pints in the Dean Brook and a stroll up to the Park...

FC United to play Benfica in one of first matches at new Broadhurst Park stadium

The David and Goliath friendly against the Portuguese giants is part of a series of events celebrating the breakaway football club's 10th anniversary

FC United will take on European giants Benfica in one of the first games at the breakaway football club’s new Broadhurst Park stadium.

The friendly against the Portuguese club will be one of the highlights of a series of events celebrating the supporter-owned club’s 10th anniversary this summer.

General manager Andy Walsh said: “FC United of Manchester is delighted to be playing Benfica as one of the first games in our new ground.

“We have had good relations with Benfica since hosting their U19s when they played Manchester City in the UEFA Youth League last season.

“We are proud to be playing one of the largest fan-owned clubs in the world and are looking forward to welcoming Benfica’s representatives to Manchester.”

The match will take place on Friday, May 29, at FC United’s soon-to-be opened new stadium in Moston.

Armando Jorge Carneiro, academy general manager at Benfica, said: “Lisbon and Manchester are cities with fans who love football and their idols.

“While FC United are still a young club in the history of this sport in England, it’s nevertheless a great honour for SL Benfica to be present with their B team at United’s stadium, Broadhurst Park.

“We hope that FC United can find, over the next years, just like Benfica almost 111 years ago, a path of victories that can launch them from being a big city club to a leading club in the world.”

FC United was founded in 2005 by Manchester United fans opposed to American businessman Malcolm Glazer’s controversial takeover of the club.

The breakaway was inspired by other supporter-owned clubs such as AFC Wimbledon, which it is also planning a friendly against.

Ivor Heller, board member at AFC Wimbledon, said: “We are gutted that we’re unable to be the opening game at Broadhurst Park, but we’ll make up for that with a great friendly in pre-season.”

A full programme of anniversary events will be announced soon.

You wont be going for pint in the dean brook any time soon MES, its been shut for a good few years now.
