Never understood why anyone is scared of flying it's no different to any other form of transport public transport ie someone else is the driver and you have no control
Haha. I was thinking more abroad tbh. Just back from Italy and got trains to and from both airports, there and Mcr, and the difference is palpable. You don't use cross country trains then
Understand that logic and that’s what I try to tell myself. Being logical and thinking positively really helped me this time. I never saw myself arriving safely before!Never understood why anyone is scared of flying it's no different to any other form of transport public transport ie someone else is the driver and you have no control
A bumpy mountain range. Whatever next?It is usually close to the mark. I’m not keen flying over the alps though. Always been bumpy there.
You work for Boeing?I've been making Jets for 40 years now, but for the past 10 years I've been inspecting them prior to take off. If people have seen what I've seen, some of you would never fly again, but I'll keep flying, irrespective of what goes on and some of the dodgy cover ups..
I have done in the past, I've worked on everything from the Spitfire to the Lancaster to Airbus to Typhoon..You work for Boeing?
Aw fuck me ! That's just put me right off nowI've been making Jets for 40 years now, but for the past 10 years I've been inspecting them prior to take off. If people have seen what I've seen, some of you would never fly again, but I'll keep flying, irrespective of what goes on and some of the dodgy cover ups..
Can you tell me what are some of the things you have seen and what dodgy coverups?I've been making Jets for 40 years now, but for the past 10 years I've been inspecting them prior to take off. If people have seen what I've seen, some of you would never fly again, but I'll keep flying, irrespective of what goes on and some of the dodgy cover ups..
They changed their username to BlueNomad.Maybe this deserves in the ‘missing mooners’ but haven’t seen @Chicago blues recently
What !!?They changed their username to BlueNomad.
I would rather a bus driver hit a Vauxhall Corsa than a pilot hitting a mountain.Never understood why anyone is scared of flying it's no different to any other form of transport public transport ie someone else is the driver and you have no control
Chance of a plane hitting a mountain extremely low , chances of a bus crashing or coming off the road and killing passengers is a lot higherI would rather a bus driver hit a Vauxhall Corsa than a pilot hitting a mountain.
Wait, really??They changed their username to BlueNomad.
Doesn't have to be a mountain:-) define lot higher. The chances of dying in a bus is 1 in a few million, chances in a plane around 1 in 10 million or so. With odds like that its so low that claiming killing passengers is a lot higher in reality is bollocks.Chance of a plane hitting a mountain extremely low , chances of a bus crashing or coming off the road and killing passengers is a lot higher
We know that flying is probably the safest form of travel, that’s not in question, the point is if the plane crashes the overwhelming chances are that you die,if a bus or a car crashes the overwhelming chances are you will survive, that’s where the fear isChance of a plane hitting a mountain extremely low , chances of a bus crashing or coming off the road and killing passengers is a lot higher
Strong post to username correlation at work hereI've been making Jets for 40 years now, but for the past 10 years I've been inspecting them prior to take off. My username is taken from a French scuba diving company, diving at 30 metres with Sharks is what I do for fun..Strong post to username correlation at work here
