I have always liked Mick. I always enjoyed watching his Irish teams at Lansdowne Road in the mid to late 90s playing some great football, and the win over Holland in 2001 was epic stuff. When Wolves won at Spuds I was genuinely very pleased for him. But when he effectively threw the game against United, he went down ever so slightly in my estimation. If you stand up to United, as Hull did, you might have a chance, as Hull had for a good portion of the game the other day. And I really can't understand why he made such an almighty fuss over the "offside" that led to our second goal. Watch the first half, their player Mancienne could/should have been sent off for a bad foul on de Jong, and wasn't even booked. Then the ref booked Zabaleta for a much less serious offence. Face it, Mick, we were dealing with your hardworking, limited team comfortably and picking you off at will, it looks a tad bit jokey to making such a fuss when we could have really wiped the floor 4 or 5 with your team
