Atalanta general director Pierpaolo Marino has claimed that a top Premier League club are chasing the signature of their defender Federico Peluso.
The Serie A side have already reportedly rebuffed a £3.6million (€4.5m) bid from Juventus for the full-back and are said to be looking for a figure in the region of £5.6m (€7m).
Marino has revealed a host of clubs are keen to sign the 28-year-old, including a leading English side, although he ruled out the possibility of a switch to a London-based club.
Recent reports have linked Peluso, who has enjoyed an ascent from the lower divisions of Italian football, with a move to Manchester City, but Marino refused to be drawn on the speculation.
"Peluso has so many requests," Marino told Gazzetta dello Sport. "One of the top clubs in the Premier League is monitoring Peluso and I think that our league [Serie A] may lose him.
"Is the English team from London? No, not London. Are they Roberto Mancini's City? You are quick to make conclusions."
The 6ft 1in left-back enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, making 33 starts and helping his side to a comfortable 12th place finish.
