Feel sorry for Kolo Toure

League Cup was his opportunity to play and Captain City.

What opportunities will he have now?

And what next for Suarez and Razak. For many City players the League Cup represented an opportunity to play and develop but now that chance has gone

All 3 should've stepped up and shown they deserve to play in the first team. None of em did and therefore how can you feel sorry for them?

he was doing my head in at the game, but then I watched his interview on the official web-site and he knows he played poorly and he also knows that the League Cup was his main chance of playing

I don't think you can support a football club without having some empathy with the players and manager.

It's a fair point on a human level, Marvin.

maybe this was their one opportunity to make their mark as a Premiership player at City? I don't see either playing again this season in the 1st team and that's possibly more down to the team around them than themselves. It's not realistic to expect them to carry the midfield in these games and now realistic chances of development at the Premiership Champions has gone overnight. Training with the 1st team is one thing, but what are they training for? next season? A slim chance of a game in the FA Cup as a sub?

Surely you can see that for Kolo Toure, Razak, and Suarez progression in the League Cup was vital for them as individuals and I don't believe that as fans are not supposed to bother about individual players.

It makes me laugh that everyone seems to want us to win every game, every competition... and at the same time blood three or four kids into the first team!

Sort your heads out peoples!
What's funny about fans, who pay good money to go and see their team in the pissing rain, in the hope that they would beat a side that has been on a descent for over two years now, given that our side included over £150m of talent? Regardless of whether a couple of younger lads were playing.

No I am not. I mean it

And on fishing, unlike many I don't fall for Rag topics. Some have fallen hook, line and sinker

But the fact is that those three players were as guilty as any other as to the reason why they are not going to be given any more chances in the Capital One Cup!

I don't expect Suarez or Razak to carry the midfield... but I do expect them to show strength in possession, an ability to play a simple pass, the courage to impose themselves upon the game (given that their chances will be few and far between otherwise) and that they take their chances, just like every other professional in any other busienss has to take their chances when they arise.

Feel sorry for them? They should be coming out and apologising for their performances to those fans who braved horrendous conditions to watch them.

Razak and Suarez might not get another first team game this season, but that won't stop them picking up circa £100,000 each at the end of it... While Kolo's consolation will be fifty times that amount...
