Feels oh so GOOD

I think football fans only think in extremes.

We've beat Stoke, Wolves and Boro, and had a similar (better) run at the start of the season under Hughes.

No, I trust my instincts. Those barren 30+ years taught me to trust my instincts, when we played shit on the field and looked disjointed, it invariably proved we were lacking unity in the dressing room.

It would not matter to me what the United result is, the fact remains there is a better feel being projected from the club under the Mancini reign, long may it last. Not an insult to Hughes because I wanted him (more precisely my club) to succeed but it just was not happening and the managers before him were in the main even poorer. It is great to be able to attract the best of managers, proven best.

just joined so i could print your post to hand out to all of the whining red supporters i'll be forced to watch Wednesday's match in the company of in Philadelphia. I may have to read it to them since i'm not sure they can read intelligent commentary. Great post, well said lad.

In my opinion, the reasons are different. Under Hughes(and I observed this in the first couple matches on a thread, somewhere) I felt the players were thrilled to play on the pitch with certain names and that showed. Very individual performances combined to look awesome. There were flicks and tricks that disappeared after a few games.

What happened? Was that coached out of them? Well, yes, by confusing tactics.

Under Mancini, the basic team work comes first, then he'll garnish the creation later. But, never, will it compromise the team.
