Fegiescum: sacked, quit or die?

Nobody is Untouchable. If MU got relegated. Bet your butt he will be hounded to his ealry retirement by the sandwich crowd, glory hunters who will disappear like the early morning dew!

He will go on his own terms.

His club is in a dire situation financially, and a manager who has been used to braking transfer records to buy the best players over the years, and now has his hands tied behind his back, may think it's not worth the bother anymore.

He came accross as a beaten man in his interview today after the loss to Leeds.

He's getting old, he does'nt need the money, and he is in charge of a sinking ship.

It's a shame, but there you go. I'm sure he will find a distillery somewhere that feels like home.

I could imagine him taking his last breath whilst looking up to the heavens tapping his feckin watch.

They won't sack him. If they did he'd probably have a heart attack.

He'll go by mutual consent.

He'll move to an honoury position, effectively leaving the club by agreement - if the club keep him in any advisory capacity he'll only get in the way of the new guy. Which would be wonderful to watch. The pressure the new guy would come under would be intense too - lose one match and daggers will be out - and all the time they are slipping further and further behind us.

I think he will go by mutual consent at the end of the season or be moved upstairs. The problem is if they move him upstairs they will not get any manager worth having as mourinho or anyone else worth their salt will not want to manage with that spectre hanging over them.

The Glazers wouldnt dare sacking him but they may well have to, people are starting to dig into him more than they ever would be4, like andy townsends comment yesterday about he still wouldnt be happy if they had 15 mins of injury time, before this season most pundits etc would have reverently shaken their heads and said yes he is right the referee was appalling, now his incessant rants are beginning to make him look foolish.
