Fentanyl Deaths in America. Why?

We were in NY about 2 months ago and got the subway to Jamaica Center on the way back to the airport. God knows what these two guys on the train had taken, but one was rolling around on the floor of the carriage unable to move his arms and legs and looked like a zombie. The other was stood holding the rail, with his trousers around his ankles, unable to move. It was scary to watch. Fuck knows why people take shit that does that to you.

Sounds like fentanyl, doesn't look like any fun to me

My lad(19) has a Fentanyl patch every 3 days 25micro-g and has a Buprenorphine(*morphine analogue) patch that runs alongside and is allowed up to 30 mcg x4 times a day of morphine for breakout pain. This just about manages to keep him out of A and E 80 % of the time Unless the little bastard orders KFC then its 50-50.

Piccadilly Gardens likes this.

Put every gun owning member of the public on it, they will be too fucking out of it to even think of taking an assault rifle to a school then.

You're S.M.A.R.T!!!

And that's about Oxycontin and the like, rather than Codeine. But it seems to be partially why the NHS is saying no more opiates, despite the fact no-one over here gets prescribed Oxy. Compared with America where they gave it to young people for sports injuries and their lives are over, it seems a bit odd to say you can't get 30mg codeine after an operation or whatever. They are right to be cautious, but I hope people don't turn to street dealers or drugs. That seems to be the big downer on Tory drug policy. Changing cannabis from class C, it became way harsher for dealers to get caught. Teens who want to score, end up dealing with hard bitten gang members rather than the friend of friend. I'm sure that's facilitated kids getting mixed up in county lines and local gangs.
Fentanyl is a huge issue here, epidemic proportions and taking the lives of many.

We've actually gone the other way and decriminalized it, so that I am now allowed to grow up to four plants for personal use if I wish.
