Ferdinand on BT Sport

Proper pundits are very few and far between. Like them or loathe them, the 3 guys who I actually enjoy listening too are, G.Neville, Carragher and Danny Murphy. I find all 3 interesting, impartial and can actually give you analysis of a game and the tactics that are being used. They are able to show and describe instances where teams and managers tactics are working and when they are flawed.

Most other "pundits" are just cliché warriors, most of them don't have a brain cell between them and if they weren't on the TV/Radio they would be that guy that everyone avoids down the local. It is truly staggering that some of them are given such a platform to display their thickness. I know the "football family" try and look after ex players, but punditry is a job. To qualify to be a pundit you should have to be able to prove your tactically aware.

Shearer, Merson, Nicholas, Savage, Owen, Ferdinand and Thompson, are all truly awful.
Charlie Nicholas hasnever got anything correct. His predicitions on both results and player performances are always way out (Aguero was going to be the flop of the season by the way, when we signed him, according to this muppet). Merson can't string a sentence together apart from "he's a top top player". The "legend" that is Shearer slags everyone off, yet this "legend" got his beloved club relegated in his one and only go at management yet he is allowed to ridicule and mock others.

That pisses me off more than anything. He was a cynical dirty **** who went out to deliberately hurt and injure players. If he was called Pablo Shcolario and played for us he would have been hounded out of the country.

The only thing the ginger pig had going for him was that you never heard from the morose wanker, but now he has an opinion on everything he's lost that as well.

He's a despicable ****.

Just cant get passed Carragher's accent, it grinds on me.

Souness is alright as well, he says it how he sees it, dont think there is much agenda to what he says, any criticism seems fair and he genuinely seems to get annoyed at the shit Redknapp comes out with.

I love the look of utter contempt on his face when Redknapp is talking. You can see him trying to hide it but he can't quite keep that look off his face.

I love him to throttle him one day, it seems worse when Redknapp interrupts him, however Redknapp does it less these days, he used to ask a moronic question and then would sit there tapping Souness' knee saying isnt that right Graeme isnt that right, thus answering his own moronic question, i used to seriously think Souness was about to pick him up by the throat (like he infamously did to Savage) and tell him whats what at any moment.

Ive stopped listening to pundits now fullstop. All full of shite. Infact I barely even watch the match buildups and post match anymore for that reason.

This is how it is for me
Turn on the telly 5 minutes before kick off which means the players are coming out of the tunnel
Find something to do at half time. Make a brew/empty the dishwasher/make love!
Back for the second half and then turn the telly over as soon as the game ends

I find all the post match analysis I need on here

He's a little fucking ginger pig ****.

Punditry should be about an ex-pro giving some expert insight into the way a team plays or players play.
Trouble is the raft of ex-pro's paraded on our media at the moment are lazy, biased or just plain jealous.
The situation is not helped that the broadcaster are woefully biased and lazy in what they are reporting on.
It really does rankle me that for the last few days/weeks now we have had to endure pathetically misleading journalism regarding City. How broadcasters can keep peddling the "City should not struggle to put out a team given the strength of their squad" is bizarre.
This has been boiling my piss for weeks. The typical line is "You can't have any sympathy for City. They have spent enough so that they should be able to compete on 4 fronts regardless of injuries."

Not a single one seems to realise that we could spend £100 million on each player but can only have a squad of 25 senior players regardless. If 12 of them are injured, all the money in the world doesn't make any fucking difference.

OK. What the fuck did he say? I only saw the half time analysis, and then post game, and I didn't hear anything that bad. He is a ****, and I wish bad things on him, but I didn't anything anti City in the bit I watched. In actual fact I remember him saying that Kompany works best with Mangala.......maybe that's why he's getting pelters!

I read that Souness turns up for the match and doesn't bother with the background information others like to bury themselves in.

As such, he just says what he sees.

As you say, he's evenhanded in his comments.

That just goes to show the lack of understanding and intelligence of these 'Pundits' commentators; When will SKY, BT, ITV, BBC etc. realise it discredits their programmes? WE JUST PUT YOU ON MUTE you muppets. The worst hough is the soft sh**es plastics who believe it and quote them!

And it is stuff like this that makes them all look like twats as they have spent most of the season slagging Mangala off. All of our other three centre backs play better with Kompany, I wonder why that is?

It didn't bother me at all. In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed watching every sinew of the Cockney Crerands dromedary mug strain beyond their limits.

Camel gob's salty tears are a sign that we are doing well, the guy looked more suicidal than Paul 'can hit a tree with a ball from far away' Scholes which is really saying something.

I feel like writing to BT to applaud their pundit selection and to thank them for their foresight in appointing Mr Ferdinand on to their panel for our viewing pleasure. From a football perspective, for a lifelong rag (circa 2002) I doubt that there can be anything quite as objectionable as watching a sublime City performance and to then be expected to comment objectively on what you have seen. Thank-you BT for adding the little red glistening Rio Ferdy cherry on a beautifully iced, deliciously sweet champions league cake.

If it was filmed in the States it would definitely breach the Eighth Amendment.
