Sorry I am not having it, the guy could do some amazing thing, but he always had a car crash moment in nearly every game.....lack of concentration and low intelligence.

Centre backs need to be guys who think about the game, alert at all times, hence the reason Mangala will never be a top player.

You simply can't coach football intelligence and concentration into a player.

I think Ferdinand said that Mario had been gesticulating to the United fans and he was sticking up for them. I found it quite ironic as a couple of seasons earlier Ferdinand leathered the ball into the United crowd in anger. It hit a lady and he had to apologise. Not so bothered about the fans then.

Hmmm. Funny that I've not seen one image or clip of any gestures, despite numerous TV cameras and thousands of photo cameras in the ground on the day. And it's not as if Mario was one to avoid the attention of cameramen.

If there's one trait of Ferdinand's game that sets the bar high then it's his intelligence on the pitch (rather than off it...).
